Club Mahindra Holidays — Mis-selling of membership card and improper accounting procedures, dishonesty

I was approached by Mr. Razeen of Club Mahindra and insisted me to buy a membership card [Blue – Studio type – 10 years] with following offers:

1. Membership fee Rs.2, 40, 000/-
2. 1st year ASF is waived off
3. Rs.2000/- credit voucher
4. Another Rs.20, 000/- credit voucher
5. Two days free holiday stay
6. holiday booking at Club Mahindra can be arranged according to member wishes, according to member convenient time, according to member’s preference and according to member choice for selecting the locations including international locations

He informed that 1st year ASF waival and Rs.20, 000/- credit vouchers would be handled by Club Mahindra Chennai Office. Moreover, he informed that after fulfilling the above promises, net cashout would be Rs.2, 00, 000/- only.

Believing the words of Club Mahindra’s representative, believing the corporate image “Mahindra” and believing that Club mahindra chennai office would fulfil the promises separately, no discrepancies were raised during the validation call initiated by Club Mahindra HO.

But after membership enrolment [membership ID: xxxx483], he has not fulfilled their promises. After sometime, he never attended my phone calls. 1st year ASF is not waived off. Rs.20, 000/- credit voucher is not given; no holiday booking as per my wish, according to my choice for selecting the locations.

When contacted thro Whatsapp for fulfilling their promises, he just replied that “Please wait sir” “Ill update and let you know sir” “Just give some time sir” “Will speak with manager and update sir”. Afterwards, no responses from him.

My family members wanted to go to Andaman for three days; but he booked a trip to Kerala for two days. After 34 days since my first request to Andaman Trip, Mr. Razeen sent me an image confirming that “no rooms are available at Andaman resort” . Moreover, the image having the caption that “the requested number of rooms are not available on your request” was updated on 13.9.2024 by Mr. Sayyed Rehan, Holiday Advisor”

As per the above, Club Mahindra officials know that there is non-availability of rooms at Andaman resort since September 2024. If so, he would have informed the non-availability of rooms at Andaman Resort on 11.11.2024 itself i.e. on the date of my request made for Andaman visit.
Club Mahindra’s poor responses and dishonest approach are the main reasons for non booking of Andaman trip as per my wish and the Kerala trip was confirmed by club Mahindra on 23.12.2024. Because of their late confirmation, I was forced to pay higher air fare.
Frustrating the attitude to Mr. Razeen, I escalated the matter to Mr. Vinoth Kumar, senior Territory Manager of club Mahindra, Chennai. But there is no response from him also.

At Kerala resort, I and my family members faced the worst and horrible experience. Cost of food is too high; not delicious also. My wife became sick after eating resort food. Because of her health conditions, I requested them to allow us to stay upto 1.00 pm on the date of vacating the room; but they refused to allow us to stay after 11 a.m, without any humanity.

All relevant Whatsapp chats, images, screenshots, audio clippings messages, emails etc have been submitted to their HO team and requested them to cancel the membership and to refund the payment of Rs.2, 61, 767/- which I paid sofar. They agreed that there was no responses from their employees for my requests and reminders; but they refused to refund the full amount of Rs.2, 61, 767/-.

In fact, Club Mahindra escalation desk confirmed vide their mail dated 01.12.2025 that the evidences submitted “……do not include any acknowledgment or confirmation from the company or representatives”.

Should there be no response from club Mahindra or its representative regarding my submissions, [sent via emails, screen shots, WA messages, audio clippings] who should be held accountable for their lack of communication? It constitutes a deficiency in the services of Club Mahindra.

I made payment of Rs.2, 61, 767/- to Club Mahindra sofar; but as per mail dated 13.11.2025 of Club Mahindra Escalation desk, it is mentioned as Rs.2, 51, 220/-

Moreover, I received a tax invoice for the value of Rs.2, 442/- [inv. No.xxxx431739 dt 1.11.2024], though I didn’t make this payment. There are a lot of poor accounting procedures followed by Club Mahindra to cheat me.

From the above, you can realise that there is a lot of deficiency in services of Club Mahindra. Therefore, the terms and conditions given in the Membership Application Form are invalid and void.

Please note that for the deficiency in services of club Mahindra, I am entitled to claim for “punitive damages” also.

I am reiterating that I got frustrations and disappointments due to non fulfilment of promises offered by Club Mahindra at the time of collecting the membership fee. After payment of full membership fee in October 2024, I couldn’t make any visit at my choice and at my preference to utilize my holidays due to non-fulfilment of promises offered by Club Mahindra inspite of marathon follows up.

After encumbrance of all frustrations and disappointments of Club Mahindra, I requested all top executives and CEO of Club Mahindra to cancel my membership and to release the payment of Rs.2, 61, 767/-, which I paid sofar.

As there was no fruitful reply from them, I called upon Mahindra Group Chairman Mr. Anand Mahindra and CEO Dr. Anish Shah to take notice of dishonest dealings by their group company and requested them to arrange 100% and complete refund of Rs.2, 61, 767/-.
