Had purchased a car from Maruti Suzuki in 2023, I received a call from Club Resorto Vacations Pvt. Ltd. claiming that they have selected winners from those who purchased cars from Maruti Suzuki to gain trust and prove legitimacy.
They promise extravagant packages, including two-night stays and PVR vouchers, and other alluring deals, but it's all part of a carefully crafted scheme to trick unsuspecting individuals.
Their Marketing team & Sales persons of Club Resorto claimed that their company offers exclusive deals with 4 and 5 star hotels for both National and International Travel. They claimed to have collaborations with 4 and 5 star companies like Radisson, Hilton, Marriott etc where rooms are pre booked for their club members only. Their pitch sounded convincing, complete with fake GST invoices, professional-looking websites, apps, and even client testimonials. They offered me a package worth ₹1, 30, 000 based on the inputs of previous travels. Believing their story, I paid on the spot by swiping my credit card for which they confirmed no cost EMI but I still got charged with Rs 20, 692. After a year I realised it was all a scam.
Despite repeated follow-ups through more than 30–40 emails over the past several years, Club Resorto has consistently failed to provide the services promised at the time of selling the membership. Every booking request is unnecessarily delayed, and there is no timely or transparent communication. Instead of resolving the issue, they continue to prolong the matter through endless email exchanges without providing a definite solution.
Whenever I requested a local hotel booking, the company deliberately manipulated me into choosing an international booking instead. They kept delaying the booking process with repeated excuses until it was almost time to travel. At the last moment, they informed me that I had to pay exchange charges and other additional fees that were never disclosed earlier. Due to this pressure and the fear of losing my booking, I was forced to pay an additional ₹8, 000, for which I have payment screenshots as proof. This clearly demonstrates their unfair and misleading business practices, where hidden charges are demanded only after the customer has invested significant time and money.
No single booking has been ever given from purchase till date, neither local nor international, nothing. Now the team is updating me that my membership would get expire in 2028 January. We middle class people earn money with so hard work and this kind of companies lure innocents with false commitments.
Their conduct has caused me significant inconvenience, financial loss, and mental harassment. I have spent considerable time and effort pursuing the services I paid for, yet my concerns remain unresolved. They have neither fulfilled their contractual obligations nor refunded my membership amount despite repeated requests. This continuous delay and failure to honor their commitments amount to deficiency in service and an unfair trade practice.
I respectfully request that appropriate action be taken against Club Resorto and that they be directed to refund the entire membership amount along with applicable interest and suitable compensation for the mental agony, inconvenience, and financial loss caused to me.
