We are a group of candidates selected by Cognizant Technology Solutions through campus recruitment. We received offer letters in early January 2026 and successfully completed all required processes including background verification (BGV), PAN verification, and Date of Joining (DOJ) intimation.
Based on official communication from the company, we relocated at our own expense for onboarding scheduled on February 5, 2026. However, on the joining date, our onboarding (OB) passes were not generated, and since then, there has been no formal communication from HR or the company.
It has now been over two months with:
No revised Date of Joining
No official update or timeline
No accountability from the company
Upon repeated follow-ups, HR has stated that our offers are “safe, ” but they are unable to provide any revised or even tentative joining date. In some cases, candidates are being informally advised to look for other opportunities, while also being told that hiring will depend on business requirements.
This situation is highly unfair because:
We cleared all selection processes and fulfilled all requirements
We relocated based on company instructions, incurring financial expenses
Many candidates had to decline other job offers due to placement rules
Despite no fault on our part, we are left without income, clarity, or timeline
This issue is affecting over 100 candidates from the same batch.
We request immediate intervention and accountability from Cognizant regarding:
A clear and confirmed onboarding timeline
Proper communication and transparency
Fair treatment of candidates who relied on official commitments
