Grievance cell

Dear Sir,
I Sri Chayan Sinha Roy residing at 73L,Narikel Danga Main Road, Kolkata – 700 054 Have an account with your Shambazar Branch, The account no which is[protected]. The account was opened through Tata-Aig Life Insurance Co, when I joined as an Insurance advisor Kolkata Branch. That time I knew the above account is my zero balance commission paying account. After one year bank officer told me over phone that I have to maintain my account with minimum balance of Rs 5000,I also maintain the minimum balance. The account was opened by Tata-Aig with your bank the same status is being maintained by me with Tata-Aig, there is no change whatsoever with my relation with Tata-Aig. Now I’m surprised that you have arbitrarily-unilaterally changed the status of the account in your books for the reason best known to you.
Yesterday I had been to Shambazar Branch to deposit Rs 40000 about 1 P.M. but the counter no 4 was refused to deposit the amount, the reason is “It’s a salary account so I cannot deposit cash money, Your officer in the counter behaved in a unruly fashion and which is most unbecoming of an officer, then I went to Manager’s room but the manager was not present at that time, I went to counter no 9 to Mr K.Subawalla and request him to deposit my money, but he also refused to accept my cash for deposit, He also detained me more than 15 minutes because of given written about his unwillingness to accept the cash, this has fuelled his anger.
After refused by the branch I called to HDFC Bank telesales section Ms Pritha[She call from [protected][protected]]who call me as a classic customer, I was assured that I can deposit Rs 1 lakh at a time, knowing full well the status of my account.
Base on my account operation to your satisfaction you have issued me a Credit Card limit of 188, 000, you have also sanctioned a Business loan of Rs 288,000 which is being repaid regularly. You have also classified my account as a classic account out of your won and without being requested by me.
So long you have maintained a meditative silence and yesterday you have realised that it’s a salary account and I cannot deposit any money into the account.
So far I knew that the customer is the prime mover but yesterday I concluded it’s the Bank who is prime mover and not the customer.
I’m looking for a redressal of my grievances in time, so that I can take the decision whether to maintain account with your Bank or not.
Thanking You
Chayan Sinha Roy
