[Resolved] Activa Scooter — Poor service and improper handling of vehicle during first service.
Sir I bought an Honda Activa scooter on 14/7/2012, from your dealer Didar Motors, Anna Salai, Chennai. I had taken the extended warranty too. The vehicle could not be started with the self ignition and the stand was too hard to use, and a dent was found while fitting the front wheel guard, which i had called up and informed the sales department and the service department of the Didar Motors. They said when the vehicle was brought for the first service after the completion of 100 kms they will do it. The service centre found the battery to be not charged properly and removed and replaced the battery with a tem. battery and sent the battery for checking, when after a week they asked me to bring the vehicle to fit the battery , we found on bringing the vehicle home that the indicator light had stopped blinking and the beep sound was not heard and the side hold was removed and not fitted back, this i called up and reported immediately, they asked me to bring the vehicle, when the vehicle was taken to the service centre they siad that the electrical warranty was not covered and so we have to pay for it. Why i wonder there are so many problems in a newly purchased vehicle, are the vehicles tested and certified before being delivered or are defective vehicles being supplied by the dealer. Having paid nearly 70000/- ready money to get a sub standard vehicle saddens me. I want immediate action taken and proper service done and all the defective parts to be replaced free of cost. There is no meaning in taking an additional warranty if such sub standard vehicles are being delivered. We went by the brand name and it is disappointing to being served so badly. With regrets for having selected your brand of vehicle. Mrs. Vasantha Suriyanarayanan New #104, Old # 141 D, V. R. Pillai Street, Triplicane, Chennai-600005 Was this information helpful?
