[Resolved]  Aeroflot Airlines — Bumping off the Airline

I was travelling from JFK to BOM via Aeroflot . I had checked in my baggage to Bombay. When I was in transit, waiting for my connection, it said that the flight had been delayed and no new rescheduled time was displayed.
Later I just casually went and inquired, and was told that the flight had left without me. No calls were made even try and locate where I was. When I started asking questions as to why the indicator has still not changed, the attended quickly spoke to someone and within no time the indicator changed to 'departed'.
So my baggage reached Mumbai. But this was the least of it
I had to pay a penalty o[censored]SD 100, hotel rent for a night and was taken to Delhi the next day. Then I had to book fresh Jet Airways tickets to Mumbai costing Rs 7000 each. We were 3 passengers
I wrote to Airoflot, and gave them all the required documents, but have had no signs of refund or compensation. I even gave them the unused boarding passes.
It has been over 3 years now

Aeroflot is an airline that does not care about its passengers. It is ran by incompetent people, who hardly speak any other language besides Russian and are the most unhelpful employees you will ever find. My 20 year old son was not allowed to depart Moscow because his return flight to the U.S. (this is "return" so he was LEAVING Russia) had started on January 4th from another Russian city, was leaving Moscow on January 5th and his visa into Russia was for the 4th! This mistake had not been noticed by those same AEROFLOT anal employees when he checked in in JFK on December 20. So these "check up" people at the Moscow airport, instead of helping him go to the Visa section at the airport where he could get an extension (this is again to "leave" the country!!) did not help him at all. They just dumped him - probably because they had an overbooked flight anyway - and did not even allow him to be on standby the next day saying that he needed to have a valid visa!! (which he could only get "with" a ticket!). He was forced to buy another ticket with another airline two days later, with that he got a visa in 10 minutes (that could have been possible with help of employees of a good airline). He was not helped, nobody cared. They had already left him with no luggage for the two weeks he stayed in the other Russian city on the way going: because of the tight connection in December, his luggage had stayed at the airport for two weeks! Despite complaints then AEROFLOT did not reimburse him for anything. AVOID THIS AIRLINE AT ALL COST!! They are the worse!!! They blame anybody but them for anything!
