It is to report that the adminstration of aligarh muslim university is going to conduct an all india interview for promotion and appointment on 28, 29 & 30 th Of april 2009, while the polling would be on 7th may 2009. They invited candidates from the entire country for this purpose. The matter was brought to the notice of the adminstration of the university as well the district election officer and the poll observers as appointed by the commission apart from mails to the chief election commission india and chief state election commission o[censored]. P. This must be taken seriously by the hon'ble commission, since we believe, this central university is a part and parcel of our country. Aligarh Muslim University — Blatant violation of Model Code of Conduct
Authorities of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, UP have granted approval for appointments/promotions for various teaching posts and have scheduled selection committees during the period when code of conduct is effective without taking due clearance from the commission. This act is in gross violation to the specific Model Code of Conduct vide sub-para (ix) of para on transfer and posting of officials at page 5 of Instruction Sl. No. 1. The model code of conduct reads as:No appointments or promotions in Government/public undertaking shall be made during this period, without prior clearance of the commission.
Candidates from various parts of the country are expected to appear in these selection procedures.
Written complaints for the same have been lodged to District Election Officer, Aligarh, CEO (UP), Lucknow and CEC with a request to issue immediate pre-emptive directive to the Vice-Chancellor/Authorities, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh -202 002, UP regarding this violation
