[Resolved] altec lansing — Most horrendous customer service ever!

Altec Lansing makes docks for iPods but they don't supply the docking cradle to make the iPod fit the dock. After seven months of weekly requests via email and telephone calls, I still do not the two-cent piece that will make the $300 dock work. How does the dock sound? I have no freakin' idea because it is useless without the dock. Guess what Altec's brilliant response to the matter is.....go to Apple. Right. You are so right! I've had exactly the same problem. No docking ports in the box. E-mail to Altec with a request that they post them to me (total cost to Altec about 80p - as you say "cents"). Stupid response - confusing ports with adaptors - and no response to further requests.

A classic example of how thoughtlessness can ruin a company's reputation with customers.

You are so right. I have had the same problem and I cannot believe the incompetence of this company's Customer Service (sic) operation. They have managed to turn an issue which would take 50p to fix into a saga which even the Vikings would have been proud of!
