573 A, Gangai Street, Poompozhil nager, Avadi, Chennai-600062 To The corporation of Avadi. Respected Sir/Madam, I have a patta land at poompozhil nager and have paid road tax, water tax and all property taxes. We live here for the past 30 years. I have few concerns that need to be addressed by you. 1. We have no road in Gangai street and it is not even found on GPS While all encroached lands like thiruvalluvar street have good tar roads and are found on google earth and GPS. Gangai street is occupied by many patta land owners and we have no good road but the pond that is encroached opposite our land has been provided with all road facilities. Our road is so bad that it is difficult to commute by any vehicle especially rainy days. 2. The garbage is thrown right in our corner by all house. There is no garbage can and if so, please place it near the so called park, recreation, land that is encroached and opposite to my house. Except for a ration shop, the encroached land is used by people to build houses, raise cattles and is filthy. Its a shame the recreation place that can make chennai beautiful is allowed by government authorities to be encroached. The beautuiful pond has been destroyed and being filled and raised to build houses by powerful, influential people who are allowed by government to encroach these lands. 3. I paid for sewage and water but see water pipes outside my house which is utilized by people who have encorached these spaces. How blessed are they not to pay taxes but utilize the facility for patta holders like me.The water should come inside my house and should not be a property for public who pay no taxes. How can you reward others who dont follow goverment rules and provide them with all facilty when I have paid every due I owe the government. Please do the needful to make our place a liveable area. We are experiencing low voltage in our locality especially NAGAVALLI AMMAN KOVIL STREET, WEST GANDHI NAGAR... The cause for this issue is non availability if transformers in the locality. The existing transformer is powering more than 1000 houses and since our street is at the extreme end we are not getting enough voltage. (As explained by EB Line men/engineers) Please I request the concerned authorities to see this issue rectified. Thank You Saravanan G

Sir, I am V.Ramesh kumar, residing at 207 A, Rajaji salai, Senthil Nagar, Chennai - 62. The garbage collectors dump the garbage very close to my house. Which creates health hazards to my children and the window can be kept open as the bad smell is horrible. I requested the persons who dump the garbage to shift the garbage bin to some remote place but there is no response. I request you to kindly shift the Garbage bin near to railway track adjacent to a open ground or on Cholapuram main road where the collection vehicle can also be easily approached. I expect Avadi municipality will treat all the residents equal and help my family to lead comfort life.

Respected Sir, I am Rajaekaran residing at G1, Plot no 2, Sri sakthi Nagar, 1st Avenue, 2nd cross street, Annanur, Chennai-109. My next door is a flat consist of 4 houses and they have left the drainage water on the roads which is getting stagnated infront of my house. Me and my family members feel very difficult to step out of my house since there are plenty of sewage water. We spoke to the people in the neighbouring flat to clear the septic tank but there isnt any action for a long period. I urge you to take necessary action on the same to help us in maintaining a clean environment. Thanks, ...

Since 4 Years we resident of Avadi, Kamaraj Nagar 1st Street Suffering with this Bad Road, The Councilor is not taking necessary steps to Clean the roads or for a new road, infact he is out of station for a very long period. Doesn't care about the people who voted him. Always water get stagnated in the ditches. Soon the residents of this street is going to suffer from various diseases, and need to replace our hip with Steel. The photo which i upload will tell the truth.

Respected Sir, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Opposite to CRPF Campus is densely populated and low lying area. Due to recent rain and inadequate drainage facility rain water as well as drainage water is logging in around the entire area. We the TNSL Nursery & Primary School also falls in this area. The problem of mosquitoes is very high in our school campus. Mosquito bite is being reported often by our elementry students during day hours too and lot of children suffering from diseases. Though we are taking enormous steps to clear water logging inside the school complex due to poor conditions outside & near the school campus the manace is being reported. Since the problem is urgently required to be attended to it is requested that the anti-malarial team may please be deputed at the earliest to our school campus and arrange to prevent the spreading of mosquitoes over the area. I'm resident of vasantham nagaradi, AVADI staying near by chandra city. There is a street called roonwal avenue in Vasatham nagar, Avadi, Chennai - 600071. In the appartment's BLOCK A, the sewage tank is overflowing and letting down to the streets. This is a threat to the people living in and around and there are possibilties to end up with DENGUE like diseases. Request the municipal department to take necessary action on this to resolve at the earliest.

Hi, I am Dheephika, i live in cholan nagar, Pattabiram which comes under Avadi Municipality. A year back all the roads in my area was digged due to drainage work. There is no proper way out for drainagae water so after drainage work all the waste water stands near the road and population of mosquitoes increased especially in rainy season all the water get mixed, roads get totally damaged and we cant even walk on the roads. Last week again our roads were digged, while we enquired about this they said us roads will be laid and we were happy. But now the condition of roads has gone very worse we cant walk or drive peacefully. If it rains we cant cant come out. We have handicapt people, old people and childrens too. I recommend the officials concerned to take immediate action on this matter. Few roads near my area were laid in 2 days of time! We did not fight for new road but as the work started we need it to be completed soon. When others have rights to get road in 2 days why not us? I have attached photos of a road in Cholan Nagar. Sir, I am muthukumar residing at 43 3rd street vaishnavi nagar abadi Chennai 109. In our street water lodging after rain and there is no way for water to discharge since the nearby house raise the road height for car parking this makes the water to stay on roads . Due to which my family and nearby home member getting fever frequently. And we made lot of complaint to counciler but he couldnt able to solve permanently. In above said address there is problem related to health & sanitary, In this lakshmi street open plot there were garbage of cow dung like mountain due to this creation of huge mosquito’s and spreading the disease like skin allergy, dengue fever, pylaria . No one is responsible to apply the DDT (d ichloro d iphenyl t richloroethane),
We are suffering from mosquito problem and bad smell from the cow dung, heavy biogas is generating over there affecting lungs of the people.
I have attached with the photo proof, kindly come and inspect the place and take necessary action without fail and give solution immediately.

Near SVT Nagar main road in Tirumullaivoyal there is Crematory and Burial ground. There is no compound wall around it.
There are dozens of houses surrounding that place with hundreds of people using the road. SVT nagar is adjacent to
All India radio complex and Salvation Matriculation school. With houses and school near there can't be a open Crematory which
near to school and surrounded by houses. Avadi Municipality must look into this issue.

Respected sir/madam
I am a resident of 8 th street, Vaishnavi Nagar, Thirumullaivoyal. I kindly bring to your notice that we are not provided with any garbage bins for our street. Nearly 200 residents are using a vacant land in 8th street for disposal of wastes. Added to this for past 4 months swines(pigs) have found this vacant land as the place of shelter and have became a threat to the public that it may cause epidemic disease. There are too many stray/street dogs also. Added to this our street is not proper laid, for your reference i have uploaded few photos also. I kindly request you to take necessary action and comply with our request to fulfill the basic sanitary needs of the public.

The roads laid 5 yrs ago (i'm not sure of the time in which these roads were laid) are all totally damaged and there is no scope of driving peacefully on the roads. It's a hell of an experience while driving and walking through these roads.

My daily experience:
It takes 30 mins in bike from Thandalam (near sriperumbudur) to Avadi. A distance of 20 Km
It takes another half an hour from Avadi to Senthil Nagar (in tirumullaivoyal). A distance of 8 km.

Imagine how the road would be.
I recommend the officials concerned to take immediate action on this matter.

My personal suggestion to them:
Pls spend atleast 50% of the funds which are directed towards these works by the PWD instead of stealing all the 100% money.

I would be happy if the Chief Minister would inspect the roads by 'Road travel' instead of her "Bird's eye viewing" from Helicopter. Atleast then, she would feel the sufferings of the people in our area.

I am a member of a west Gandhi Nagar Welfare association who is striving for the welfare of the public. In the west gandhi nagar area ward no 34 at kumaran street the water is always logging and there is no way for the rain water or the waste water to erode or there is no letout for the water to drain or go out, the area people are suffering a lot mostly in rainy season people cannot come out of the house and school children suffer a lot the same pity condition is prevailing in mossess street and because of this lost of mosquitoes breed and leads to ill health of the residents of these areas the ward member dosent vist atall nor hear our grievence this was taken to the officials of municipality but there is no response from them. with regard to street lights the street light in bharthi street stopped burning for the past one month and regular complaints were logged in the complaint register from our association members but in vain, i doubt there is any political interference in this matter.
I humbly request the Commissioner, of Avadi municipality to take necessary action for which the west gandhi nagar welfare association (regd.) will be greatfull to you.

Defence colony of Ward No. 48 of Avadi Municipality is not being considered for any road works since the start of the colony (Since 1990). No ward member is visiting this Area for any queries. The mud roads which were laid by the developers of land have gone damaged to the full extent and the stones are poking out of the road causing a serious concern for the road users. The roads are being used by more than 100 families for their day to day activities. Specially school children are finding it hard to reach the neary by Kendriya Vidyalaya due to the bad road condition.

Also during the rainy season the rain water run through the road and most of the road junctions are water clogged without any drain facilities.

Can the Avadi Municipality help us to live better.

Govt. has announced no one should burn the garbages in the public place. Those who burn it, will have to pay a fine of Rs.1000 But nowadays, the municipality people in Avadi and especially in Thirumullaivoyal are very eager to burn the plastic and waste items in the residential areas. They are very experts in it. I don’t know why the govt. has given so many sophisticated lorries to this municipality. Those lorries are not at all operated and the garbages are not taken away. All garbages are collected and burnt in the same place where collected. By doing that I think they are taking the money showing account as the lorries used. In some places, even at night also the plastic wastages are burning and people are getting allergy diseases.
Those authorities in charge for these, are requested to stop burning the plastic garbages in the residential areas and do their duty right.
