BEST, MUMBAI — RUDE BEHAVIOUR OF DRIVER AND CONDUCTOR
Respected Sir,I was travelling in a bus no.38 (MH-01 AP 0264) which I boarded at 8.29 pm at Bandra station to go to 4 Bunglows, Andheri West on May 9, 2011. The driver's behaviour was so rude that he stopped the bus after Arya Samaj stop for 5 minutes at
8.42 pm because he felt my comments were not in favour. He allowed to board on passenger from front door when he said "STAFF". But he did not allowed others to board because they were young or ladies. Conductor also supported him. Driver's batch no. was 14108 ( one of the co-passenger provided me this number). All co-passegeners in the bus were irritated with the behave of bus driver. Is it a thumb rule that driver and conductor will allow to board/alight staff at any point wherever they feel like? Why such discriminatin between staff and passengers. I would like to know the legal provision behind this. Conductor said they are going to work. What about us?Are we roam without any work? Do not we pay for the tickets?
Kindly provide me satisfactory reply with stern action against such employees. Else I will report the matter to consumer grievences cell for further action. Kindly forward the copy of this mail to Managing Director and Chairman of the BEST. Despite my repeated mail since May 10, 2011, neither action or enquiry has been initiated yet nor my mail has been replied.

Sir/MadamI am 55 year old woman.On 09/10/2011 I was travelling B E S T bus no. 289 to Anita Nagar from Kandivali east between 16.45. I tried to catch the bus from Growel co, bus stop.Bus no. M H 01 H9352. I was about to get in the bus before that the conductor gave the bell and the bus started moving. When tapped the bus the driver stopped the bus. I got in and asked the conductor why you are not letting people get inside the bus, (which was almost empty) he started shouting and said if you want to catch the bus stand on the road! I would like to know the meaning of it and I asked him thenwhat is purpose of the bus stand, he said" Go and ask the government". He was so arrogant and rude and an insult to the legendary BEST service. When I asked the his badge no he said to get lost. Still I managed to get badge no. which was 42615. I would like to know the reason for this rude behavior.
