[Resolved]  backdoor frauds — cheaters and fraud

23rd Oct, 2011: The Central Zone of the Commissioner's Task Force arrested one person who allegedly cheated jobless youth by promising them placement in a leading IT firm in Bangalore.

According to the police, the accused – Kokkula Ravi, a resident of A S Rao Nagar - would lure unemployed youth by promising them jobs in Wipro Technologies.

His associates, Rajasekhar and Hamed, would act as Wipro's HR managers.

Ravi would send the candidates to Bangalore and conduct telephonic interviews with these "managers".

Ravi thus conducted interviews for about 10 candidates, and collected an amount to the tune of Rs. 12 lakh in the guise of a "caution deposit" with Wipro Technologies. He even issued fake offer letters.

On a tip-off, the sleuths of the Central Zone Task Force team caught Ravi and handed him over to the Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police Station for further action.

Efforts are on to arrest the absconding accused, Rajasekhar and Hamed, police said. (INN)
