My Subscription Number is ITE1889036 (one year subscription for India today-english magazine).

Despite so many complaints i either dont receive my issues on time or else i dont receive them at all. Every week i have to call them up to remind, that i have not reeceived my issue and then they send me next week.

i am seriously upset with this weekly routine of calling them up. Could you please help me with this matter and get my refund processed. Nobody is taking any responsibilty at India Today and every time they claim that such delays wont happen in future but it is the same story again and again.

if you need any further information from my end then please do let me know.
my membership no. is 04ITH144580 (one year subsciption of India today hindi magazine).
I am not receiving magazine and received few but that also not in time.
i am not at all satisfied by your service. kindly look after the matter or else i will have to think about your service while new subscription.

    Dear Customer Care Manager,

    As per below communication I had spoken to your customer care dept. today, which they were told me the good has been dispatched, and when you receive the same pls refuse to accept the same and after that today I got a call from some body who came to deliver the product. No body was available in my home and he forcibly delivered the Consignment No : [protected] (indicating LCD TV) to my neighbor. The consignment is lying at there place only in intact position, and hence your urgent action is needed in this regard. I am bit surprised with your cheating methods that inspite of my cancellation email sent on 21st July 2010, you had dispatched the same consignment on 24th July 2010.

    An urgent action is required from your side in terms of refund of .Booking Order No.[protected] &[protected] and refund the respective payment of Rs. 17699/- & Rs. 1196/- (Both the transaction done on 16th July 2010 from my HDFC Card No. 5176 xxxx xxxx 6804.

    This is to bring in your notice that on 16th July, 2010 I received call from your office that I had been selected as lucky customer for assured prize i.e Gold Box of Rs. 1.10 lacs if you purchase Samsung LCD or Samsung Camcorder. The assured prize will be either cash or Gold. If I will win cash it will be send to your address by cheque or if you win Gold you can buy it from our outlet which we will provide without any terms and conditions.

    After placing the order No.[protected]Samsung LCD) and Gold Box[protected] he told me I had won Gold worth Rs. 2.40 lacs and for this your criteria of purchase has been increased,, which I declined instantly. After that he told me that you had won Rs. 1.20 lacs of gold which you can purchase from any of the outlets without any terms and conditions.

    On 17th July 2010 I called you customer care and came to know your order status is not available, while I got the info that Gold Box is discount Vouchers of Rs. 5000/- each.

    Today on 21st July 2010 I had called again your Customer care and this has been confirmed that these are Discount Vouchers of Rs. 5000/- each from Surat Diamond and Rs. 5000/- from Rebook Watches Vouchers.

    Hence pls cancel My Booking Order No.[protected] &[protected] and refund the respective payment of Rs. 17699/- & Rs. 1196/- asap.

    I too was told accordingly on 19th July 2010 from Phone Number[protected] under an understanding that details will be e-mailed by 21st. But since then I am being told that their Server is having problem. I have transferred Rs. 52, 000.00 thru Debit Card.

    Persons who talked to me are Ms. Shruti; Mr. Pranab Sabbarwal; Shri Prashant Paliwal & Mr. Anuj.

    Police is also not helping me locate them. I have full recording of all conversations.
    I also received the same call today 3rd August 2010 from Amit Raghav, Ph. No.[protected]. I would like to thanks you for posting this complain. He said that I won 55000 rs and I need to purchase their products for generating customer id. After reading this complain I told them to provide the proof and the customer care number of Bag it today and India Today where I may know the detail of winners. they disconnected the call and after that they did not called me again. But these guy need to be punished because they are trying to cheap people.

    I have a doubt on the genuineness of the Originality of the items that are sent across to us.
    How can BAG IT TODAY assure us that the item is ORIGINAL & GENUINE?
    Do you have any system, in which if we do not like the quality or look of the item that we have order, we can simply NOT accept is and not take delivery of the same? If yes, then what happens in case of Credit Card transactions? would it take forever for us to receive the refund??

      I had booked two products vide order no [protected] & [protected] for Samsung Touch screen phone & Phillips DVD. However the amount debited to my account was twice the cost of mobile. Immediately the next day I have cancelled both the orders and asked for refund . I have received refund for order [protected] whereas for the other order it was dispatched to me . I have returned the same thru BLue Dart and in spite of continous followup for last six months no refund is forthcoming . Member ship no ITBC 09111823.b They have stopped replying to my mails for the past one week

      India Today Book Club — refund not forthcoming

      I ordered items in Nov 2008 and paid thru credit card. After struggling I got the order number. After nearly a month I was told items are not in stock and I can get a refund if I send credit card statement.This was sent one month ago and still there is no acttion from them.It is disgusting to see organisations with Big Names letting down small customers. Why do they flaunt their email ids and telephone numbers if they are not looking after their customers. I am aghast to see 795 complaints on this company.

      India Today Book Club — Refund is credited at given time

      Hi ,

      I have order a product from 29th of September 2009 from India today book club.But till February 11th i didn't receive my order from there end.

      So finally i decided to cancel my order 11th of February 2010 and raised a request for canceling my order.At that time they (India Today customer care agent) make a commitment to refund my my amount with in 15-21 working day.

      After one month when i asked them about the status for my refund amount they again say they required some more time to refund the amount.

      Please suggest what i should do ??

      I had booked a Samsung Touch screen & Phillips DVD player instead of Phillips DVD the cost of Samsung was debited twice to my credit card account. Immediately the next day I have cancelled both the orders .
      After persitent followup I received refund for 1 mobile and in spite of cancelling the order the mobile was dispatched to my residence without intimation.

      I have redispatched the phone to India Today on 19.12.09 the same was received by them on 21.12.09 nt.

      In Spite for providing all proofs of receipts no refund is forthcoming . The only reply received is that we are following up the concerned dept

      I have cancelled all my orders as i was wrongly informed by your call center
      executive that i will be also getting 2 LCD TV's with the orders in my
      order placement time. Later on order receipt and re-validation with the call
      center i knew that there will be no tv coming so i cancelled all the
      orders.
      I have got confirmation from your employees at the call center that
      you have received all the parcels back at your office on 10 Apr.



      After that i have called your call center a few time to get my refund
      request nos. but no one seems to know what to do.

      Also i was told earlier when i palced the orders that i will get
      refund with in 21 days of return of parcel but it has been already 14 days and
      still even the refund request no is not genereated.
      Request you to please do the needfull at the earliest and refund my
      money with in next 7 days.

      even after sending mail to the above mentioned ID and ONLINE COMPLAINTS as subject line there is no action on it. ... I have still not got any refund ... every time i call the customer help they say 10-11 days max it will come... this is highly irresponsible behavior...please process the refund as quickly as possible.

        I was offered Benetton Sunglasses worth Rs. 3999/- as free gift againt the purchase of Sur Saaz Aur Taal CD's, I received the CD's within 2 weeks of my order. But they took 2 months to deliver the free gift, that too after i called them nearly 10 times & mailed 4-5 times. After i received the free gift it was not that much worth as they were told & it looks like a local sunglasses. I am really shocked to know that even big reputed companies also cheat people like this.
        I guess this some automated reply, every time one complain about something you get the similar response. ". "We request you to kindly wait for few days. You will receive the same soon". I wish someday they start taking their customer seriously.

        I personally had similar complain with India Today Book Club and been facing the similar issue from last 3 months.
        i think this site is not usefull for Solve the Complaints Becauze till 45 days i cant get result,

          i got call from [protected] india today book club for purchase one item of samsung and u get assured gift.i purchase samsung handycam of rs.11399/-which was paid by me hdfc bank credit card plus i paid rs.2392/-handling charges.i purchase online first time i dont know that what can i do.purchase item confirm and gift jewllery voucher worth rs.2lac.they said i got this item with in 10day but till 8 days gone i not received any confirmation from india today book club.i call above no.they said me tell booking id.but i not received any booing id.today mr.anup give me my booing id is 10080387.he say that confirm with despatch dept.but despatch dept.not received call only tape voice hear all time.despatch office no.[protected].

          India Today Book Club — Item Not Received Yet

          I have booked the order vide Booking ID No:[protected] Dated:[protected], Amount Rs 9498.00 by the booking Agent of India today Book Club namely Mr Ankush Greg on his continuous insistance and persuation as I was not completely in their offers as before they bothered me mentally while booking the previous order in which I didn't get the free gift of hotel package as they say the coupon is expired( Coupon/Unique number is 12385110A[protected]. Now he assured me that the order will be delivered within two weeks or ten days and there will be no delay in this package, but till now I didn't receive any order nor any phone call from him. I think they get the money hide into the rooms of their boss. They never bother to inform about the updates. I called their office so many times but didn't get any respond from any one. They always avoid by saying this execuse and that execuse. They don't respond with satisfaction.           India Today Book Club — NO information about despatch

          I paid Rs 574 for an offer which included india today encylopedia CD and other good offer, after sending 4-5 reminder (After 3-4 weeks) of my despatch but so far I could not receive my order, very dissatisfied and disappointed about their services and commitment to the customers.

I payed the amount using my credit card on 09/11/2099 and 10/11/2009 respectivly. I received only the digital Camera. I requested to dispatch the Reebok sunglass(product ID[protected] but they are only promising to dispatch the item but not doing so. they give me a mail informing that the item dispatched on 14-NOV-2009 through DART MAIL under the consignment no 69358786. but there is no Dart Mail office at my town. I send an e mail to Dart Mail to solve the problem. but there was no responce

          India Today Book Club — ITEMS NOT RECEIVE

          On 23rd March I had placed an order with India Today Book Club for the Art De Nox Dinning set for Rs.5697. The confirmation for this order was send to me through SMS with the confirmation No: MITBC-WEB[protected]. This order was paid through my Credit Card and the amount was charge to Living Media India on the 25th March (Ref:932694) When I did not receive the items after one month, I call the customer service and lodge a complaint and was told that the items will be soon dispatch. After three week past and still I have not receive the items and again I call the customer service and I was told that they have referred this complaint to the concern department and they will get back to me. On June 19th I wrote an email to India Today book Club and asked them to cancel the order and refund the money and I received a reply from Mr.Dominic Savio that until they process the order, I will not be able to get the refund. Its been more than a year and I still haven't got the refund. I am now contemplating moving the consumer court.

          Dear Sir,

          I got a call from India Today Book Club on 31st January 2011. Mr. Raj Kashyap was on the line. He has told me that if I pay Rs.7100/- in the Punjab National Bank any branch in India in the name of "CARE TODAY FOUNDATION", then he will send me one laptob and one blackberry phone through DHL courier. Accordingly I paid Rs.7100/- in Punjab National Bank, Juhu Vile Parle Branch, Mumbai, India. Mr. Kashyap called me from the tel no.[protected] and confirmed that I paid the amount in the name given. I tried this number so many times, but not getting any reply. He has also promised me that the stuff he is sending through DHL Courier has Airway Bill No.44003851 & 44003852 dated 1.2.2011. I am also told that the amount which I am crediting through bank, will have Income Tax exemption. Todya is 8th Feb 2011. Till today I have not got eighter laptop, nor Black Berry phone 9700 or Certificate. Kindly look into matter and inform me.

            Tuesday, June 29, 2010 9:56 PM that I will send the parcel back after I receive the refund amount. When you expect your customers to pay the money first before receiving the parcel, is it not fair that I expect you to refund the money before I send back the parcel, especiaaly since the product was sent to me despite my requests to cancel the order. Moreover, I do not have faith in your organisation that once I return the parcel I will be refunded money, in which case I will lose both the product & my money. The person introduced himself as Bhupendra from indiatoday bookclub. The no from which i received the call is [protected].He was speaking in broken english. IHe told me that as a priviledged member i have been selected for gold box price wirth Rs, 1,10,000/-. He told me that I was one of the 3 selected from all over India for the prize. He then told me book for a product to get a booking ID which will be used fro reference when his senior calls for confirming my details. He told me that there are two products - one samsung comcorder worth some 11,000+ & one sony mobile camera worth Rs. 19,498/-. He told me that I need to give option to book one of these to generate a booking ID for which, I told him repeatedly that I don't want to receive any offer or book any product in order to receive any prize. He persisted and told me again and again that it is just to get a booking Id and there will not be any actual booking. He asked for credit card no.for which I told him that I will not divulge the same on phone. He informed that I needn not give the details orally but just need to feed it on my mobile which willl be recorded by a computer to generate a booking ID. On being assured that I will not be charged anything for the booking I was asked by a recorded system to feed the details of my credit card. I was given a booking no.-[protected] and was told that i will be contacted by his senior to verify my details.

            To my uttter surprise I got a message from ICICI bank saying that I have been credited Rs.19,498/- on my card on the account of living media india ltd. I tried to contact the [protected] and ask why he had cheated me. But I couldnot. Later, i contacyted ICICI bank and informed them about the fraud by indiatodaybook club. They informed me to cancel the booking and when I told them that i was notr able to contact the phone no.of the person who played a trick on me I was told to cancel my credit card immediately so that the transaction does not materialise. i consented for that. But i later received a statement from the bank which shows a credit of Rs,19,498/- towards payment to living mediaindia ltd. Delhi . On contacting mthe ICICi bank they told me that as the transaction was already over they could not get it cancelled and asked me to contact living media india ltd. to cancel the booking and ask for refund.

            The transaction Id is -380794. Merchant name - Living Media India Ltd. - merchant ID - 4519.



            In view of the above facts, I request you to please llok into the matter and please cancel the booking and refund the amount of Rs. 19,498/-

              BAGITTODAY.com registered me as a customer with my e-mail address sent me e-mails offering various products under huge discounts. Being a shopping website of INDIA TODAY GROUP, I placed an order (Billing Id:[protected] in March for a Reebok Wrist Watch worth Rs.299/- The promised delivery of the product was to be made within 3-4 weeks. However, when more the product was not deleivered I started contacting the customer care at their telephone no. 40502424 and spoke to many of their executives, at interval of 7-8 days . First of all they told me that the packet containing my goods has returned Undelivered due to wrong address provided by me. When I told them that this is absolute nonsense.

              When a I asked them for refund first they said it has been approved and i will get the refund by june end. Then they called me up and said they are giving me a gift voucher worth Rs. 25000 for surat jwellery as compensation. But till date neither the refund nor the gift voucher has been received.

              By all the above misleading, deceitful gesture clearly with the intention of cheating people, on the part of BAGITTODAY, a shopping website of INDIA TODAY GROUP, I am seeking your help to get the problem resolved by either delivery of the product or refund of my hard earned money. Bagittoday has their Customer care division at INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB, B-47, Indira Enclave, Neb Sarai, New Delhi – 110 068.
              I have been getting this reply from last 3 months but no action has been taken place till date. Your helpline no is also not working know. I have also asked for the higher authority and concerned department number but no help was given.

              Bag It Today is the biggest fraudent site for Online shopping.

              I too was told accordingly on 19th July 2010 from Phone Number[protected] under an understanding that details will be e-mailed by 21st. But since then I am being told that their Server is having problem. I have transferred Rs. 52, 000.00 thru Debit Card.

              Persons who talked to me are Ms. Shruti; Mr. Pranab Sabbarwal; Shri Prashant Paliwal & Mr. Anuj.

              Police is also not helping me locate them. I have full recording of all conversations.

              I ordred Samsang Omnia Mobile and paid Rs.10000+ through credit card over telephone, but the phone received is different, it is touch screen mobile and the market price (even MRP0 is much less than the amount paid. After so many complains through phone and emails and even after sending a legal notice, India Today Group is not responding. Pulblic alert should be advertised by the Govt. to stay away from this kind of cheater company under the name of renowned group.

              I have placed my order more than three months back.. I have made the payment by credit card and i have paid the same to the card as well. Since then i am waiting for my product..               I have placed my order more than last months back.. I have made the payment by credit card and i have paid the same to the card as well. Since then i am waiting for my product.. The records says it has been dispatched to me but the same has never came.. The courier results says that the package is returned to the shipper and not delivered to the customer for not paying.. I do not know what payment are they referring about as i have already paid. I have made un limited phone calls to the customer care but the same line every one repeats " THE PRODUCT IS NOT UPDATED AND YOU NEED TO WAIT, WE WILL RE-DISPATCH IN 15 DAYS "...this was one months have passed.. I am being very serious request you to take an immediate action on the same and stop playing non-sense.. I feel i am cheated and if needed i am definitely going to take legal action as well. i do not care for money but i do not entertain cheating and will take necessary action at the cost of anything.. I wait immediate response from BAG IT TODAY..

              Hi Guys Bagittoday is one of the fraud est website who is selling a wrong information as well as cheating people by fake promises.
              Their customer care executives tells something on phone call and keep on following you until they forces you to buy products but when in terms of confirmation they never get back to you. Always saying will sort out but never sorted.

              I will not recommend anyone to buy any product from India Today group as they are the most corrupted website online.

              Anyone having any solution for filling complaints, please let me know, I want to file a legal complaint against them.

                Hi,

                I am Mahesh from Pune. My bagittoday member id is ITBC10413730. On 2nd July I put purchase order through bagittoday. This I did by seeing quarter page ad from India Today group in ‘Sakal’ news paper dated ‘02/07/2010’. I thought as this ad was from India Today group which is brand to trust. I put my order by paying thru IVR system using my credit card. I can see money of worth 3298/- got debited from my credit card on 2nd July. During booking this order person communicated me that I will receive my kit in next 14 days. That means by 16th July I should have received it. He did not mention any condition of stock availability by that time.

                After booking this, I received email notification from them. In it, it was mentioned that I will receive my order in 14 days. Still date I haven’t received my ordered material and still day before yesterday I did not received any communication on any kind of delay in this delivery. When I sent email to [protected]@bagittoday.com for asking about status, I received communication that they are not having material in stock. I am doing follow up with them on this but not receiving any good answer to justify delay.

                As this is from India Today group, after this I tried to collect diffrent email contact from http://www.indiatodaygroup.com/contact.php website.

                Still date I did not recieved any reply from them. I got multipule reply from [protected]@bagittoday.com. In one reply it was mentioned that material is arrived and now it is in stock. THey will be sending it in 2 days. And in another email they mentioned that it is not in stock and still 10 days require for them to send it my way.

                I am very upset with the kind of service which bagittoday providing to me as customer and now they are saying that it will take few more days to deliver my order. The kind of communication which I am receiving is frustrating and I really don’t know about how much I have to trust these people going ahead.



                I would like to make humble request to you to please look into this issue to get it resolved ASAP. I would also like to request other people to think twice before putting order with bagittoday.com.

                I checked this consignment number-[protected] through Aramex courier for status. Right now the status is on HOLD. the reason which I recived from them is - Octroi details are not provided by sender. THey are waiting for email from you since from 26th July. Still date no reply from your side. I tried to call customer care number[protected]. the person on phone mentioned me that he is forwarding this to concern department.

                I am not sure about what kind of service bagittoday is providing to customer. First you people (bagittodya) delayed my order. then now that order is on HOLD. I am doing follow up with customer care department but no satisfactory action is taken still date from your end.

                Please do needful on this!

                Why isn't KOHIMA, NAGALAND included in your Pincode as well as CASH ON DELIVERY. I think this is another harassment INDIA TODAY GROUP being a recognised entity here in Nagaland.

                  LIVING MEDIA INDIA LIMITED / INDIA TODAY BOOK CLUB / BAG IT TODAY — MONEY NOT REFUNDED AFTER 2 YEARS OF CANCELLATION OF ORDER

                  Dear Sir,

                  My membershib number with ITBC (India Today Book Club of Living Media India Ltd.) is ITBC 08786103 vide which I had ordered for some DVDs. I had paid Rs. 2,598/- through my credit card. However, later due to some reason the order was cancelled. I have been following up with this company from last 22 months by phone and emails but they have still not refunded my money.

                  There is absolutely no responses to emails. On phone calls I am told that the complaint is been forwarded to concerned dept. and some one will get in touch with me. However, this has not happened in last 22 months.

                  I have also sent the statement of the credit card as a proof but of no avail. I have closed my credit card account some months back and therefore requested them to send payment by cheque which is still awaited and there is no update from this company.

                      I had placed an order for Reebok Shoe (Roller Coaster – Size 8) on 25th June’10 after a long wait received my consignment with a different model (Literide – Size 8). The model (Roller Coaster) that I had ordered was priced around Rs. 4999 but the one that I have received (Literide) had an MRP of Rs. 2499. Please ship the model that I had ordered (Roller coaster (White) – Size 8) at the earliest to my address. I have provided my ITBC details below for your kind perusal:

                        This is Ramesh. I did buy a watch from BAGITToday through online service on 15th March, 2010 worth of 4,290/-. The Ordrer ID:[protected]. They said that the order will be dispatched within 2-3 weeks, but I didn't receive the order. So I called the custom care and informed then they said it was returned us, will dispatch again, then I waited again for 3 weeks and called the customer care again. They said we are going to dispatch it. By seeing that irresponsible services, I cancelled the order on 14th April, 2010. They said it will take 21-28 working days to refund the amount. I don't what these guys need 28 working day to refund amount. They said me to following to the email id [protected]@bagittoday.com with subject ONLINECOMPLIANTS.

                        It crossed one month still I didn't get the refund amount. When I called the custom card they said Reference Number need to be generated, which was not done. finally reference number was generated on 4th June, 2010. I have been following up frequently, every time I was getting the same statement repeatedly "we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, Kindly wait for some more time and you will receive your refund very soon."

                        Still I didn't get my refund amount. This is a fraud service, am advising never use this service.

I have not received the items yet, I contacted them by email, they said my address was wrong, although my address was 100% correct, then they told me they will send it again, they have been promising in email that I will receive the items soon, but so far nothing happened.
                        I asked them for refund, now they don't even respond my emails.

                        I think this is a fake company, the guys behind this company are cheaters. This company should be closed.

                          The below products are offered:
                          2 home theatre Philips, 4 air tickets Rs 7000 each, track suit reebok, numerouno sunglasses, 3days 2 nights 5star hotel , free diamond and gold jewellery Rs. 95000 surat Jewellery shop. Samsung camcorder 12 megapixel, htc mobile Rs. 22000 at paying Rs 15998,Rs 3198,Rs 13998 which was debited and they provided 3 ID's corresponding to the gifts. Delivery promised between 7 to 10 days.

                          No clue what to do.

                            All these orders were booked by me based on your teams confirmation that these orders are must for continuing my participation in the sweepstakes. Every time I use to get the promises that this will be the last order to be booked but almost every/alternate day I was getting for booking of new order being must to continue entry for the sweepstakes.

                            I was also given following false promises :
                            I am out 21 final entries for the final draw of sweeptakes.
                            I will be the only candidate from Maharashtra to contest here.
                            There is 99 % of chance to win 1 lac or 8 lac price only if I book these orders or else my chances are very rare.
                            Even on Sunday I got another call again that I need to book another one (fourth) order (from Amit) so that I can get locking code from them which is must to have for a winner of sweepstake & even if I am a winner, i will not get the prize without this locking code.
                            I was scared of being cheated by all this & hence when I checked with you customer service finally, I was told that none of the purchases are must to confirm entry in the sweepstakes. Even when I told this to your order booking staff (who was forcing me to book the order everytime by instructing that these purchases are must for me to enter in the final sweepstakes), I was told that customer service is not aware as sweepstakes are keeping all the things confidential & hence CS may not be aware of this. When I called CS again, I was not given a clear answer about the sweepstakes confusing me more & more.

                            When I checked in the internet about this sweepstakes, I could find only the complaints about this for every year & no document is available to confirm its genuineness.

                            Pls note that I am feeling cheated with all this episode & I am disturbed mentally also as i made these purchases even though I was not having enough money with me & had to pay interest for all these amounts for credit cards, just because I was told that these orderings are must for sweepstakes. You are kindly requested to cancel all the three orders placed by me & ensure that the money is immediately refunded in my respective credit card accounts.

                              I had received a call from Bagit today saying that I had won Gold Box worth Rs. 4lakhs in which I will receive either cash, Gold or products and will not have to pay any additional amount but need to make some purchases which I did. The details are mentioned below. Once I confimed the purchases by paying thru ICICI credit card, the excutive confirms that I have won gold worth Rs. 4lakhs which can be purchased from any of the outlets and I need not pay any extra amount and these are not discount vouchers.

                              Later, I get a verification call and the executive tells me that I have won Gold vouchers which can be used as discount vouchers only through online purchases made and I immediately instructed the executive to cancel my order. I would want to ensure that my money is refunded at the earliest. I have also logged a call with customer care (Mr.Imran) asking them to cancel my booking and refund the amount at the earliest.                               Thanks for posting this. I also received a call today from India Today saying I can win 5KG Gold by buying products worth 30, .000/-. I started searching internet for any fraud calls.
                              On 19.07.2010 one Mr. Prashant Paliwal from Phone[protected]India Today) rang me intimating of my being chosen as a lucky winner. I was told to make certain puchasings like 22" Samsung LCD TV; Philipd Sound System; Samsung Camcorder; Diamond Voucher etc. and got Rs. 52 thousand paid thru (non-human interface) Debit Card. It was told that the winning amount plus the puchasing details will be mailed by noon. But even after 2 days they haven't sent me any mail. They say that their Server is down.
                              The persons who negotiated the deal are Shri Prashant Paliwal; Ms. Shruti; Mr. Sandeep & Mr. Pranab Subbarwal. The recordings of all phone calls are available.
                              They all are cheat and the alternative India Today & bagit Today Numbers are just not helping nor are denying. The numbers are[protected]; [protected]; [protected].
                              India Today Book Club is the biggest cheat I've ever come across. They lure you into buying products saying that you are the only lucky winner in the whole of India, and then you don't get ANYTHING free.
                              Luckily, I escaped this gold box offer because of my previous bad experience.

                              Its time something must be done against them. Some legal action. Or at least we can create awareness that people don't get lured into this.

                              They will never send any gold box. Even if they send you vouchers to purchase surat diamond jewellery, you can yse only one voucher of Rs. 5000/- value ( rest of the money u have to pay for purchasing ) for one transaction. The jewellery they send is available in the market ta 1/3 prize. So, pl do not order any jewellery purchase through vouchers.
                              Bag it today promises to club 4 vouchers at a time, but they will never do and can not do so.

I have been cheated of Rs.7498+7498+4998 and till now not got my money refunded almost 2 months over. I will defintely sue the company in consumer forum.

                                  Yesterday I asked for a VPP from my local postoffice saying that a book parcel of Rs.400 is came from Living Media (I) Ltd, New Delhi - 55, when I've no idea of what this concern is, even I never placed any such order with this concern before. And now when I'm seeing others' complaints also in this respect, I think this is a trial of forge money from others.

                                    India Today — Non delivery of subscribed Copies & No revert to the mails by Customer Care

                                    I had subscribed to the India Today ( English ) for an year by paying through my Credit Card in January 2008. My First Copy was delivered to me in the last week of March 2008. After that I never recieved the Complete Copy ( The Free supplements / magazines were not delivered) Some issues were totally missed. I made acomplaint to the Customer Care thrice ( 14th April, 22nd April & 30th April ) but there was no revert to my last two mails in which i had written about cancellation of my subscription due to poor & incomplete deliveries even after making advance payment for one year.

                                    I think India Today is indulging in Unfair Trade Practices and really making a fool out of people. The group is taking advance payments from the customers and not delivering them the promised magazines or gifts. Even I have heard of the same oproblem from some of my friends, that they do not recieve the complete copy of their subscribed magazines. In the market the magazine is available with an extra / Free magazine and some small gift product where as the same are not delivered to the subscribed customers. Moreover the magazines are available in the market 4-5 days before they reach the subscribed customers.
                                    So what is the benefit or use of blocking ones money for recieving lesser amount of products in return.
                                    May be the company thinks that the customers who have already subscribed to their magazine for longer periods cant complaint or go for any other magazine.
                                    This is a real unfair trade practice being run by the India Today Group and all o[censored]s should stand up against the same. The Company should also be ordered to refund the subscription amounts of the willing customers giving valid reasons...

                                    Non Receipt of Post — Irratic postal Delivery

                                    I live in Vasai and should be serviced by the Navghar Post office with a pin code of 401202. The way the post office operates leaves much to be desired from Government employees. We at Mahavir Complex, Golden Park Vasai West 401202 have not received our mail for more than a month and this is a regular feature. The post men of this post office are busy doing their personal work as Agents for National Saving Certificates and all other Government Schemes rather than the job for which they are being paid. We have not received our telephone bills, credit card bills etc and therefore will be liable for paying late fees etc. Can something be done to improve the situation or will the public have to go there with some tv channel and expose the GOVERNMENT SERVANTS?

                                        Hello,

                                        I had recieved a call from India Today Book Club on 21st April 2010. The caller was a lady (I do not remember the name) and she told me that I have won a cash prize of Rs.1 lac based on my previous transactions with India Today. In order to get the cheque for this 1 lac Rs, she had told me that I have to pay Rs.15,000 as a tax to the Govt.She had told me that I can do it by buying one of the product from below three options. The products offered were Samsung Superb Mobile S5560, Samsung Omnia Touch screen mobile and an X-box. That time I had bought Samsung Omnia Mobile for Rs.14998 with transaction ID[protected]. After the transaction, I was given one HDFC bank cheque number from the lady. The cheque number was 910450. I have recieved the mobile. During that time, I was informed that the cheque will be signed by her higher officials and I will recieve a cheque in 30 days (i.e. before 21st May 2010). But, it has already been 3 months and till now I have not got any cheque. I am not sure if it was the fraud call.

                                        And now, if I try to track this transaction details, by calling[protected], I get an answer saying that the transaction ID which I have mentioned above is in the name of Mr. Vikrym Dala. I dont know how this has happened. The customer care executive assisted me to write a mail to this ID.

                                        I request you to track this transaction and do the needful. I was not in a need of any mobile, but I have bought due to all the good experiences I had with India Today. But with this particular call, I have been cheated by ITBC.

                                        I request you to track this transaction and write back the details. As I know, each call made by ITBC to its customers is recorded. With that, I am sure it is not difficult to trace back the call.

                                        I have had a similar experience, but no action has been taken by ITBC even after 7 months. Hope the government takes notice of all these complaints!
                                        The credit card statement has been sent to [protected]@bagittoday.com and [protected]@indiatodaybookclub.com. Please look into this issue.
