I am happy to report that Bagchee have now refunded in full the money paid for the book they did not ship in when ordered in July.

2 months ago I ordered a few books, all of which stated they were available to be shipped within 2-4 days. A month later, when they still showed as "In Progress" I attempted to contact them in order to understand what was happening. They had a tab for live chat, but it is not functional. There is no phone number or direct email. The only means of contact (short of flying to LA or Delhi) is a contact form through the website. I have, over the last month, used this form at least 6 or 7 times with no response. I am currently disputing the charges to get my money back.
The account sign-up was easy but after that the website was sometimes unreachable or sign-in was not allowed. No number of customer care is posted and there's no way to file a complaint to them. I ordered a book but there was no invoice yet the amount was deducted from my bank account. I have no idea about the order details because no email was received and sign-in was impossible. If it was a small amount I might have overlooked this whole situation but the amount of 3534 rupees was deducted for one book which may or may not be ordered. Very disappointing experience.
