Dear Sir,
My name is Kunal Kashyap, I am writing to make a formal complaint against Bank Of India on behalf of my mother Mrs. Anita Dutta. My complaint is that the bank failed to provide a satisfactory resolution to my mother.
She is a customer of Bank Of India, Hirapur Branch, Dhanbad, Jharkhand since 2nd April 1985. Her Savings Bank A/C no. is [protected]. On her account statement it shows a debit of Rs. 1000 which she has never authorized and the description says “FVG ECS UTI Mutual Fund” from 1st Feb 2010. She has given written complaint to the Branch Manager several time then only they refund the amount to her account.
Due to this automatic deduction sometimes absence of required minimum balance they have charged fine (minimum balance charge) and had never given interest for those deduction which they have made. Last week when she again went to the Branch Manager for the complaint he was very rude to my mother and asked her to close her account. It was very humiliating as knew other customers present in the branch at that point of time. I think it is against law. He is asking a vintage customer to close her account. I request you for some compensation against it.
