i've had similar problem with my hush puppies shoes where the sole literally started fragmenting, within months, the local store refused to do anything about it and recommended, resoling, charged me again 400, then resoled it with local sole.the idea about buying hush puppes was to have comfortable soles feel got taken for a ride

I bought a bata hush puppies from a exclusive bata retail outlet. Within 3 months, I got into problem; one of the shoe seems to be ok.. but the left shoe, the threads of the shoe came out.. and moreover, the same shoe, the insole have also got torned. Its a clear case o[censored]sing low standard raw material for one of the shoe.

I too had a similar experience..i bought a hush puppy sandle from chanaganacherry kerala Bata showroom.. its nt been a year nw, leather started comin out, thread also..

I bought a Hush Puppies shoe from Bata store (Laketown, Kolkata) in July 2009. Today (6th Nov 2009), at my workplace, I found out that total sole of the shoe (right leg) has fragmented.
It is really an embarassing situation in front of outsiders. People has started staring at me in utter surprise.
I am totally disappointed with the performance of Bata shoes.

The Bata seems to have moved away from their quality products and even their responses seems to be very awkward. We have only chooice to put this as a campaign and not to buy them any more. I have shifted to Lee Cooper and ogther brands which are equaly good.
Nobody contacted me after I gave all the details to the Customer service in India.

I would like to place a formal complaint against some purchases made from Hush Puppies' retail outlet in South City Mall, Kolkata. I had bought 2 pairs of socks along with 2 pairs of footwear from the store.
It is to be noted that both pairs of socks wore out upon a single usage and there were holes in the corners of the toe region.
I'd like to emphasize that upon approaching the store manager, I was given the excuse that there is no guarantee on the accessories sold along with the footwear. No such revelation was made to me about this during the purchase. Moreover, even if I had been told about it, I would have still been aghast at the dismal quality of socks delivered by a "world-class" "reputed" brand like Hush Puppies. The socks were not exchanged and no action was taken against the complaint.
I was rather told that I was the first person to have come up with such a complaint and so nothing is wrong from the company's side. So my question is, is the company never going to address complaints because they are the first ones?? Terrible state of operations management and bad ethics, I must say!
I was told that the company does not "manufacture" the socks but only markets it. Well, every brand does the same...I am proud to be associated with some of those...and they all take responsibility of the clothes/accessories they sell.
I am very disappointed at the way in which the issue was dealt with. It is surprising to see such dilution of organizational ethics. I assert that the disappointment caused by the situation has made me wary of investing in the brand again.
The company should certainly look into the products it markets under its brand.

I bought a Hush Puppies shoe few months back(City Bounce) which costs me nearly Rs 3000/-, but the shoe started troubling me after a week.The sole for which Hush Puppies was renowned for is a mess now.
Very discomfortable shoe for walking purposes.The inner sole is very hard to walk on for a long distance, even when i tried to wear with a sports socks.The quality of the shoe as compared to price is very very poor, i am very satisfied with all other brands from mochi to metro or red tape.Such costly shoe should be comfortable enough to wear for 8-10 hours a day.I think Hush Puppies is losing its Brand Image.

I have bought a bata hush puppies ladies hand bag yesterday and I am very happy with the elegance of design, thuogh the material could be more refined but over-all it is nice to get that with the price i had.

I bought a Hush puppies footwear from Bata India limited, Gariahat on 01/05/11. I wore the said item on 07/05/11 & discovered that there was a serious manufacturing defect. I have been wearing the same brand shoes for quite a long time. it is really shameful as to how such a reknowned brand can manufacture such low quality footwear. I Shouldn't there be any quality assuarance for a product of Rs.1799/- . I think Hush Puppies is losing its Brand Image since it is trying to market very poor quality products made by petty manufacturers.

I bought the Hush puppies footwear from Bata India Ltd, Noida GIP Mall. within 7 days the it got torned and the sole fragmentad and broken off. when I went to the store I got the poor response. I made complaint on bata consumer care and I got the reply after 11 days inspite I was told I would get reply within 7 days. They said it was not their mistake. I am realy shocked how this famous company can cheat customers. how the product get damaged by wearing just for 4 hours.
