[Resolved]  Bhubaneswar Passport Office — POLICE VERIFICATION NOT COMPLETE FOR LAST SEVEN MONTHS

Sir,

My son had applied for passport on 2 December 2009. Till date, the passport application status shows the message like this:

"Police Report is incomplete and the case is being examined"

Although almost 7 months have been elapsed since the date of application, neither any communication from the Police has been received nor any verification has been made at my place till date. When my son contacted the Police several times between 12 and 16 July 2010, the Police says that his (my son's) file is missing. This seems to be a harassment of innocent people.
