[Resolved]  Birla Sunlife Insurance Co. — calculation of no. o[censored]nit in ULIP plan

i had purchased a platinum plus II policy on 31-3-09 by paying Rs. 1 lac as premium. life assured was of my son whose medical report was submitted by their branch office on 7-4-09. however, policy was issued only on 24-4-09 and hence nav of 15-5-09 was considered and thus i am loosing approximately 6.5 % which is likely to be huge sum at the end of 10 years. a letter written to the company is reproduced below:

Dear Sir,

Sub: Platinum plus II policy no.[protected] – insured person Manthan K. Thakkar

I am sorry to encroach upon your valuable time but since my efforts to get the due justice to my reasonable demand I had no choice but to approach you.

I had paid Rs. 1, 00, 000/- by cheque for my above mentioned policy and a receipt to that effect was issued to me on 31-3-09. further it was confirmed by your customer service cell that the cheque was encashed on 31-3-09.

All the medical reports was cleared on 7-4-09 and receipt to that effect is also sent to me with my policy documents dated 24-4-09.

The policy amount which I had paid was to be invested in Assure funds till 15th of calendar month. Accordingly the money was to be invested in Assure fund on 31-3-09 or say by latest on 7-4-09 after the medical test. However, I have been informed that the money was not invested till 24-4-09. Please note that the NAV difference of 8-4-09 and 24-4-09 is 14.3364-14.1518=0.1822 [=1.3%]







Further the switching from Assure plan to platinum plus II plan was also done on
15-5-09 instead of 15-4-09. NAV difference in this case is 10.8754-10.2544=Rs.0.621[=6.05%] and thus I was allotted 8149.8760 units instead of 8681.9157 units. Thus I am at loss of 6.5% no. o[censored]nits and which will be sizeable amount after 10 years.

I hope I have been able to explain you the details of loss and request you to advise your subordinates to issue necessary correction without further delay to avoid unnecessary correspondence and complications.

i am having two policies namely[protected] and[protected] in the name of NARESH BENNURI.
i have been paying the premiums since doc i.e 4/09/07.Till now, i havent received any units alloted statement and the NAV at which these units have been alloted.

I wanna tell you something about your jalandhar branch that there are
So many agency managers are working in your company as employee of Birla Sun LIC
But there are really spoiling the name and the fame of the company. Because some conflicting things are going on in your company like agency managers are doing job with duplicate degrees and certificate as they are doing these all shameful things and inspiring others to do as well they tell them that we are doing job like that we given duplicate graduation or id docs, you can also give and join with us because Territory
Managers and Branch head and all the senior management, they all are aware of all the things what’s wrong going on in front or behind them but they have closed there eyes and doing nothing .They never stop them to do all these things .

You are getting the business from the company even that is been done with the positive effort because if customer has incomplete documents or wrong document then they rather than guiding to complete there documents and or asking them to create genuine documents .They are making duplicate documents by themselves. They tell the customers it will be done and without telling them that they are going to use duplicate documents for it .Even it can be checked by audit that in all the agency managers and the senior managers drawers lockers and cabin as well that how they are doing there work so smartly because you ‘ill find cutter, glue stick and whitener, duplicate wrong copies, duplicate licenses, passport copies and all the duplicate certificate copies .

The advisors which are being recruited for the companies’ best performance as for agency managers even they are not genuine and they are being trained by giving Rs.500/- in café and providing wrong document just to complete and to get the best scoring among all the Agency Manager.

Sir, I request you give a look upon it. Because this is something really creating bad perception in the market so kindly do audits to keep your company good perception
But I have a request for this that do not escalate it about this mail before verifying and appropriate investigations with any of your jalandhar branch officers because other wise they normally hide there duplicate document at there friends residence and at the safer places Because earlier escalated the same thing to you but it was leaked out from your side so kindly do the needful

Iam residing baroda gujarat and now my problem is iam not receiving any intimation of due dates of premeium . My policy is quarterly and i have taken from kerala.please let me know the next due date
