[Resolved] Birth Certificate — Birth Certificate - correction | |||
Dear Sir, My wife had delivered baby girl on 4-Dec-2010, Birth Certificate which I got from BMC have very minor error in my middle name (father's name). this could be just a typo error from the person who had done data entry - insted of Ramesh it was typed Kamesh. I am facing lot of issue to get it corrected from BMC office in Goregaon. - On 30 Jan '10, I got birth certificate from Malad (E) BMC office and found the error, immediately notified it to the officer there, he directed me to Goregaon office and told every thing will be online and I have to get ot corrected from Goregaon - E BMC office. - I had sublitted applicaiton for correction with the PAN card proff with correct name on 30-Jan-2010, and was asked to come back on any working day after 2 weeks - I had made multiple visit (atleast 8-10), along with original PAN card, Driving Lisence and certificate issued by Hospital for my name correction in my child's birth certificate. - BMC officer Mr, Sunil every time ask me to come next time with some other documents like, First Child Birth Certificate, Ration Card, Passport and Permenent Address prof, Discharge Card from hospital by Doctor and aslo My Wife's name verification document. Despite requesting him, proof of birth certificate issued by BMC shows my child was born. As per him BCM ask for 16 documents but I have to submit atleast 5-6 for verificaton. I very much frustrated now and think if I will request my father to change his name to Kamesh because not sure if this officer will ask me DNA report next time. Sir, Please let me know what is the process for a small one letter correction of my own middle name in my child's Birth certificate. Why PAN Card and Driving Lisence issued by government not sufficient? Do I have to pay him some additional amount, I had seen him taking money from other, but I am not going to pay any thing without receipt. Birth Certificate — Father name is wrong in my daughter Birth certificate
Hello,I looked at my daughter birth details in online and shows that father name is wrong in that. Can you pls let me know the process to rectify the father name and how to apply online for birth certificate?

USE RTI,
Use the RTI application form at this link http://www.mcgm.gov.in/ and attach the relevant copies of proofs and affix a court fee stamp of Rs.10/-

I have created Birth certificate for my 1st son but unfortunately there was a mistake in my name's spelling and there is also my name appearing in my wife's name with incorrect spelling, Now when I visited BMC office at Andheri east they are saying they want marriage certificate, 3 documents of husband and wife with updated name(Along with husband's name), I don't have marriage certificate, How do make correction in my name, Please guide.
