[Resolved]  BMW — replacement of car tyres

Dear sir/madam,

Recently i bougt a new BMW-3series sedan and its just been 6months only when i noticed that there was a big hump on one of the tyre .As soon i noticed it i sended i my car back to the bmw service station in delhi and notified them with this problem ..i was very surprised to know that BMW being such a big brand doesnt know how to handle there customers problems .. i tried and spoke to the sales person and told him that the car is still under a warranty period and they should replace the tyre ..But he just ignored and said that he cannot do anyhthing as its not their fault but the tyre manufacturer fault ..i just dont understand this that being such a big brand these people just ignore their customers problem..its actaully soo shocking..

I too bought my second new BMW and had problems with BMW taking care of their customers after taking their money. My car had 5000 miles when the back tires needed to be replaced. The dealership told me nothing they could do as they "knew" it was my fault.
When
I go on line to read about the tires, 4 cost 2, 000, and the manufacturer of the tire says the reason it cost so much if beause its a performance tire used by many much higher end cars. When
I called BMW's corporate office, they told me they would be willing the split the cost of the tires with me. They said they would call me back after talking with my dealership. They called me back and said that the serivce technician discouraged him from helping us because he again "KNEW" that the tire were abused.
Someone told me that the reason they help you or allow new ones through the Firestone warranty is because when a car is turned in to them they use any warranty left to change the tires at no cost to them. I'll never purchase a BMW again!!! They advertise their vehicles like they are high end and treat their customer like they bought a 8 or 10 thousand dollar hundai.
They are even treated better and allowed to use their warranty.

you paid road tax, property tax etc to govt... why cant you ask govt about road conditions...Just blame CARWALA AND TYRE WALA ... its sounds great.any way damage tire can be insurance company headache also...

A 3 series running tire cost is high as the car is very heavy and more powerful. so I suggest you to enjoy the car and do not bother about tire cost and fuel efficiency...the other option for this car if you need to reduce cost is Maruti Zen Estillo. CHOICE IS YOUR. one to use daily the other for weekend ..it made sense to me and i did it...
