Caravan Packers and Movers — Cheating, poor service and non settlement of Claims

I moved from Gurgaon to Mumbai in December 2008. When I took the quotation, I was informed that all the goods will be carefully packed and they will be unpacked and fitted back after delivery. The goods were delivered on Sunday, 29th December. They came without the carpenter and tool kit to fix the furniture. I was informed that since its a Sunday the carpenter is on leave and he will come the next day. Many of my house hold items including crockery, sofa and Style Spa Cot was damaged. I was informed that person from the claims department will come the next day and the evaluation will be done. The delivery guys told me that the person who does the evaluation will find it difficult to carry the broken items with them. So they took the broken crockery with them saying that they will take it to their office and give it to the claims department.

I have been following it up with them for more than 15 days but till date no one has come to fix the cot and other furnitures and also no one has come to evaluate the damage to my household items. No one from their office has called me.

I want my furniture and other household items to be fixed by the carpenter. The damage to my household items should be evaluated and be paid for the damages.

This is a case of cheating and poor service. I would suggest that such companies that openly cheats should not be allowed to operate.

We got into their trap through Just Dial services. All big promises were made - a closed dedicated container, delivery in 72 hours from Delhi to Mumbai/Bombay, highly professional and safe packing etc. etc. All fraud. They rather smuggle commercial goods without paying toll tax/interstate tax etc. That's happened with us. Our goods were loaded in a closed dedicated lorry. Delayed for 6 days. Nobody told the real picture - everyday it was false assurance given. Finally after police complaint we found our goods in a truck already loaded with steel rods.
They are big Cheaters. Their Manager Jinu John and Owners Rajeev Gupta and Saurabh Gupta are involved in this kind o[censored]nethical and unfair trade practices. They load your goods in a dedicated closed truck from your door, unload and reload the same in a shared open truck carrying some commercial goods. Never pay them in advance.

Moreover, they don't give anything in writing - so you don't have any legal proof against them. That's what happened with me. I have filed a complaint in police, a case against them in consumer court and haven't paid them the balance amount. Let's expose them in public.

The man behind all these words is tottly mad or innocent cause he is trying to just burn his own bread on fire.
without getting any information how a man fall in the dispute & tried to show that he is more intelligent is being known us by viewing all these manner.
I am also a client of Caravan Packers and Movers and about my opinion the are good service provider then other.
I have also a claim regarding my household. & they soughtout all the dispute within 15 days. late but complete sattlement. I Thinks all the department is also working on the same manner & with clean & complete information the dispute can be solved.

Caravan Packers & Movers — DELIVERY OF BOOKED HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

I had booked my household items (87 no. of packets) from Jamnagar in Gujrat to Haldia in West Bengal on 10.03.2009 vide consignmnet no no. 521031. Today is 23.03.2009 but there is no status of vehicle that is carrying my luggage. I am incurring huge amount of expenses for resding in a guest house as my luggage has not reached. Till yesterday the concerned person of M/s Caravan packers has been extending the dates of delivery by one day or two day. What has put me in great distress and metal tension today is that the concerned person from Caravan packers(Mr Surendra Singh of Ahmedabad) is not responding my call ! I am not sure whether the items will be safe if at all it reaches to my place?

Caravan Packers and Movers — Caravan-- Better Never than Late

I moved from Bangalore to New Delhi with Caravan Packers and Movers. When my goods arrived after 9 days(obviously not in good condition) and unloaded and I didn't see my bike, they informed that it's coming in a separate vehicle/truck and will arrive tomorrow or day after tomorrow. When I called them after 2 days, again they said the same thing--tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Now it's 10th day(total 19 days from dispatch from Bangalore), still waiting for my bike. The excuses they give for delay are irritating-- your bike dispatched late from Bangalore, Our truck was sealed by police on the way, didn't get the entry in the state, do not have boys/workers for delivery.

Don't know when I will get my bike and in what condition.

The marketing manager in Bangalore called me 100 times, beg me for the order and promised the best delivery.

I don't know what/how to take action against them but something must be done to teach them a lesson.

Please do not select Caravan Packers and movers. Customer service is very poor. You will not receive any proper information from them. I have transfered my goods from Delhi to Bangalore. They have promised me 6 days for delivery but they took 9 days. It caused lots of inconvenience for me.

There is damage in alomost every products like TV, Fridge, Inverter battery, Tables, My Bike. I have registered a complaint for this. But there is no response from them for more than a month.

Please go for some better one.

Caravan ---- VERY VERY WORST SERVICE. VERY IRRESPONSIBLE PERSONS WORKING THERE. MR. ASHOK AGARWAL CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER IN BANGALORE IS ALSO VERY IRRESPOSIBLE. AFTER THEY GET THEIR PAYMENT, THEY WILL NOT RESPOND YOU PROPERLY.

caravan packers and movers are bigcheaters and andfully irresponsible because my articles were stolen from there delivery.the stole my dvd player, utensils, and camera.I have beeen following mr wilson george for the last six months but I could notget anything but fake assurances.pls dont go for caravan packers and movers because they charge more and their service is very poor.god knows who has given them iso 1000.

I do not aggree with your above comment. Caravan is very poor. They are breaking things during transportation. Very poor customer service.

One of the wrost Movers and Packer services in India. Once you book with them, they never arrive on time, the way the goods were paked was really soddy and also dont give a hoot to complaits when furniture gets damaged. Even after repeated complaints no one takes reponsibilty

The Hyderabad office of Caravan Movers and Packers has ruined the engine of my maruti 800 car. The staff stole the petrol and -- hold your breath -- the coolant from the engine, and they took the car for a joy ride of 200 km (while they kept lying to me for four that the car has not arrived from Delhi). During these four days, they kept the car with them and abused it heavily. As a result, the engine parts, especially the head, melted.

This they did deliberately to teach me a lesson because I complained to their head office about the staff charging Rs 2000 extra over and above the bill for transferring my other household goods. The staff is abusive and the Hyderabad manager, one Sanjay Kumar, has the habit of disconneting the phone midway through the conversation.

Maruti service center has now given me a bill of Rs 40, 000 to get the entire engine block replaced. I am creating a blog about this horror story. I have send their MD a legal notice to recover the damage and am filing a court case against them through my lawyer.

Movement & Delivery — Complain against Caravan Packers & Movers

Non receipt of Car ( Getz Prime, Hundai Make). The car taken by M/s Caravan Packers & Movers, Mumbai branch on 02.04.2010 ( Challan no. 2171 dated 02.04.2010) but I have not yet got the delivery. On contacting persons Mr. Anuj Jain/ Mr. Tripathi at Mumbai & Mr. John Mathew at Delhi, wrong information are being given that it will be delivered within one or two hours but till date no where about of the car is traced nor want to give the details of higher officers. It is very surprising to find the ISO certification award to the Company. Kindly help me in this matter.

Caravan Packers and Movers — Cheating ,Fraud and Non Compliance to give quotation

This is to inform you that :-

1. Vide your LR No.008645 dated 17.3.2010, I had booked my Household articles from Delhi to Cochin through CARAVAN PACKERS AND MOVERS .
At the time of booking , they quoted us a total amount of Rs.33,000, which included an amount of Rs.5,000 towards unloading and settling the articles at Cochin. They also promised us that the material would get delivered at Cochin on 28th March 2010.

However , after tremendous follow up , the articles were delivered the articles only on 31st March 2010 at 8 PM. On arrival , we were informed that we would have to arrange labour for unloading on our own though we had already paid the amount to them in advance .We spoke to Mr Jinu John in their Delhi office we confirmed that if we pay the money now , they would arrange for a refund later .
I paid the amount (Rs 6000) to the labour and also mentioned the same on the LR copy .


When the goods were finally unloaded , it was found that the sofa legs , fridge leg and cot's leg were damaged .We had to spend Rs 3000 for repairing the same .The goods were insured as per Caravan policies .


Also note that at the time of booking , we were assured that the material would be delivered at Cochin on 28th March 2010. On reaching Cochin on 28th , we found that that the materials have not reached .Everyday till 31st March , we were assured that the goods will reach same day . We had to stay in a hotel where we had to pay Rs 4000 for 4 days .

In total I have paid Rs 13000 extra along the amount of mental harrassment that I have undergone .

From 31st March till today ,( 17th April'2010) , I have been repeatedly following up with them for the refund .Everyday Mr Jinu John and Mr John Mathew ( [protected]) promise that the refund is being proceeded , however , till date nothing has been done .

I would like the Indian Consumer Complaints forum to kindly address this issue and help me in getting justice from a fraud company like CARAVAN PACKERS and MOVERS .

I also transfered my goods from Mumbai to gurgaon. Following things are true about caravan Movers and packers.

1) They promise good services which is a bluff.
2) Delay of goods. Yes, a lot.
3) They don't give MR(Money receipt). Thus they save taxes. (Which they shall be caught upon)
4) They don't respond after giving them regular phone calls.
5) The goods get damaged(My own AC and chairs got damaged)

Caravan Packers & Movers — Car driven by 800 KM before delivery

I have sent my car and house hold stuff from caravan packers and movers from mumbai to bangalore. Consignment no- 11737 on 5th June 2010. The car i was supposed to get after 4 days, But i got after 9 days, i.e. also after driven by 800KMs . When they were taking the car details they should be filling the car meter reading, but purposely it was left blank, so that when they return it back there wont be any proof of how much it is traveled. Luckily i remembered my car reading so i knew how much it was traveled.

In house hold stuff also lot of glasses where broken, chair was broken, freeze one stand was broken etc. But nothing happened. They took all money before giving me my stuff. Even the rest amount which was supposed to be payed after delivery but they didnt give until i payed everything. I had to make police complain in bangalore to get my stuff back. But even police is bought by them, they didnt do anything.

I strongly advise everyone to not to send anything by packers and movers.

Caravan Packers and Movers — FRAUD CARAVAN PACKERS AND MOVERS

This is to bring to your notice the completely unprofessional attitude of Caravan Packers and Movers. I had sent my car through them. After picking up the car from my place, their drivers drove it in Mumbai for 2 days. I was promised delivery of the car in 5 days, but finally the car was delivered to me in 8 days. For 2 full days I was regularly calling them and they kept promising that it would be delivered in 1 hour. After it finally arrived 3 days late, I saw that the car was driven more than 150 kms than the stipulated amount and they had left the car with a empty tank( more than 20 litres consumed). After enquiring I came to know that for full 2 days they had driven the car around in Mumbai and thus the delay and extra kms.

Anuj Jain and Anil Sharma their Bombay contacts took me through a ride and then mentioned that I can take a hike and I cannot do anything against them.

BLOODY CHEATS. WILL STRONGLY ADVICE TO AVOID THEM AT ANY COST OR BE PREPARED TO BE FLEECED
