[Resolved]  Central Industrial Security Force — deduction of late payment charges

This is with reference to the credit card statement covering the period from 17th Feb.’08 to 17th March’08 for paying an amount of Rs.11, 925.71 by 8th April’08.

2. In accordance with the instructions mentioned in your previous month statement ie., from 18th Jan. to 16th Feb.’08 to pay an amount of Rs.3, 999.71/- by 10th March’08, a cheque bearing No.519915 dated 03.03.08 amounting Rs.4, 000/- was dropped in your drop box located at Food World, Kharkhana, Hyderabad on 03.03.08 itself. After expiry of due date, a phone call was received from your representative who intimated that the said drop box location was shifted to another place hence were unable to collect the cheque. The representative also assured that no late fee will be charged and requested to send another cheque. Accordingly, other cheque bearing No.519917 dt:13.03.08 of Rs.4, 000/- was sent. My preceding payments can be verified for ensuring timely payment of dues.

4. Claiming of late payment charges of Rs.400 and finance charge of 495.34 from me is not logical as shifting of drop box from Kharkhana and not collecting the cheque from drop box by your representatives is not my fault.

5. You are therefore earnestly requested to wave off the said amount and communicate to below mentioned address:-
Krishan Dev Dhankar,
Dy. Inspector General,
CISF FSTI, NISA Campus,
Hakimpet Post, Hyderabad – 500 078.
