Problem with drainage in Velachery
Hello Sir,

I am a resident of No.15B, F1, Bhuvaneswari Nagar Ist Main Road, Velachery, Chennai. We are staying here for past 4 years and Velachery being called the heart of the city now, I would like to list out some of the problems we face.

1) Till date there is no Drainage or Metro water connection given, though we have paid all the taxes till date. Please note that we do NOT even have bore water to use and hence we buy the corporation metro water and use it.
2) The road is also in very bad condition with stagnating water and mosquitoes.
3) Intolerable problem is every day mostly in the evening, we face very bad smell of drainage with an intolerable odour passing on. This bad smell really troubles us more with elderly people and children at home getting affected with respiratory system issues like Asthma, wheezing etc. The moment this smell passes on, wheezing problem gets started.
4) A small -Chennai Managaratchi park area is there in front of our flats, but nobody is maintaining this and it has become the home for the cows, buffaloes and the street dogs.

This has already been raised by our nearby resident of same area, but till date there is no response nor any action taken at all. I strongly believe that you will go through the issues I have listed and take necessary steps to resolve these. I again request you to take necessary action on this and save us.

In this part of Velachery, the pumping stations are not wrking to its full capacity. The manholes are full to the brim and another rain would make the roads flooded with sewerage water. But the department is getting lumpsum amount and doing the work, as if maintenance of drainage is citizen's work. Many people are paying through their nose for this work. and the officials in the concerned depts. are harvesting the benefit. Without disclosing the real cause for drainage blocks, the officials are earning a good amount. It is high time that the Department is keeping a watch on this aspect.

During the 5 days of my street is very suffering to drainage problem.From 5/3 DR AMBEDKAR NAGAR ARUMBAKKAM CHENNAI 600106 . We had complaint to pulianthope corporation division 75 J.E . but their are still that no action and he not given proper answer he is shoouted to peoples . i don't know what do next. please reply me i will wait for your reply.

I am residing in 19/28, 30 the street, Thirunagar, Villivakkam, Chennai-49 for pasr 24 years. In the junction of 20th street of Thirunagar and New Avadi Road, a open auto garage is running causing public nuisance. We are unabe to enter and exit at that point because of auto parking for rapairs. Many a time we have requested to remove the autos but no body bothers of thr public. I request you to kindly look into this and take necessary steps to curb this nuisance.

I'm Anita and I'm a stranger to blogging...even as I type this, I'm not even sure how this works...but I want someone out there to help me with a serious problem I'm facing with a neighbour next door who also happens to be a Catholic Priest...this man is upto lots of shady stuff which really don't bother me-but it so turns out that this man wants to keep me and a couple of other families out of it by plastering out our entire ventilation on one side...this is a violation...coincidentally the man also has big time political influences and calls himself "INVINCIBLE". No 36/37 Haridoss 2nd street kolather-600099, Chennai-600110. There is frequent or always drainage overflow .we have already complained many times there is no response, but its still we have the same problem .. The half of the road is very low, so drainage water is full in the road only, we always are closing the door and windows to avoid the foul odor. I have ailing small children who is bed ridden and we are afraid this unhygienic condition may create more illness who are residing nearby too.
We Hope that corporation will take immediate action in this regard

I am G.Akbar Hussain residing in #107, Venkateshwara Nagar, 2nd Part, 3rd Street, kodungaiyur.We are suffering with drainage water block and manhole overflow for the past one week, from the day one several complaints has been raised to CMWSS(J.E) but there instant reply was we are looking into the problems and will be solved asap, but till date no action has been taken by them, Kids are affected with health issues due to this reason.From the past week we couldnt make use of metro water though we pay alloted tax promptly.
I request your kind attention to be given to this issue and solve this problem asap

This is Bibin residing at No.21, 2nd street, Assisi Nagar, Madhavaram, Chennai - 600060. I would like to bring to your kind attention that our neighbour residing next to us is causing problems by letting their bathing, washing water and waste outside the compound wall which causes bad smell and increases mosquitoes and it spreads harmful diseases like malaria and viral fever. We have a 1.5 year old kid in my house. We have directly told about the problem to them, but they are threatening us abusing by bad words.

Please take immediate action as soon as possible.

We live in Prithvi Apartments, seetha nagar, II cross street, Nungambakkam.

At both the ends of the street we are blocked most of the time by the local slum people near by. Many people have given complains. But so far no action was ever taken. they fight and use abusive words. it scares the children and even the adults.

This is really horrible when in school times and emergency. and the slum people catch a fight if we request them to keep the road clean. Kindly someone take action.

all the waste water are staged in road itself.
