[Resolved] Chennai Packers and Movers — Worst Service, Goods Damaged and Missing Items | |
Dear Readers and Members, I am the latest victim of Chennai movers and packers. Please don't go for Chennai packers and movers. They damaged many of my valuable things due to their improper packaging and handling.I have shifted my house hold goods from delhi to chennai on april 2009(Murali field executive in delhi). i received some items after the delay of 02 months in worst condition (packing was tampered and clothes, blankets, suitcases were fully wet and rotten). Another item i received on 21.01.2010 which i personally went to their office which is located at padi byepass chennai and collected it from 25/1, JPR Palace, Dr.Ambedkar nagar, 100Ft.Road,Kolathur, Chennai-600 099. Ph: +[protected]. But rest of the items are still missing yet. No proper management, no proper material handling experts, no proper customer service. i have been in touch with all their executive from branch manager to field executive but the result was very worst and response was horrible. They will not change. They will harrase many people in future also. They are Cheaters and they will take raid on you and your goods also will not be safe. The manager from Bangalore who took the sofa for repair/replacement hasn't contacted me or delivered back the sofa till date i.e even after two years.
Beware. Spread the news about this company. These kind of companies should not exist at all. their licenses should be cancelled. The government should take actions against this company, so that the other customers are not cheated and harassed by these kind of people.

BEWARE OF CHENNAI PACKERS AND MOVERS
I am the another victim of Chennai packers and movers. I had worst service from Coimbatore branch when I shifted my household things from Coimbatore to Bangalore. The items were not delivered as committed, things were partially delivered after 2 days of delay and the remaining things delivered almost after a week.
In both the deliveries, many valuable items were damaged because of POOR packing and mishandling the things. I was harassed and had worst customer service, no one from Coimbatore, Bangalore and Chennai offices responded properly for the damages.
Thinking of going to consumer court.

Chennai Packers and Movers — Worst Service and goods damaged
I used the service from this company for shifting my household articles from chennai to Bangalore. I shifted my House on March 1st 2008. The people who came for packing were not professional packers, but coolies. They tortured me for money whenever they went on tea break or for lunch break. They didn't have an idea of how delicate were the things they were packing. My computer was not packed like a computer, but like a bunch of kitchen articles. They refused to pack the guitar befor loading. I forced them to do bubble bag packing.While loading they loaded heavy boxes on the sofa set(worth INR15000) and when i received it, the sofa set was damaged beyond repairs. I sent it back to them to repair/replace it.
The two front legs of Fridge were broken, which had to be replaced.
One more sofa set which was not packed atall, but loaded into the truck had severe wood chipped from it and scratches on it.
Fortunately I made part payment while loading. So i with held the remaining payment till the damages are recovered.
The goods were supposed to be delivered on 2nd March 2008, I got a call from the bangalore office that the truck has started from Bommanahalli and will reach my house in one hour. They were asking me directions to reach my house. But at night 10:30 when i gave a call to the bangalore office i got a reply that the delivery is delayed, because the employees for unloading were on leave.
When there is a commitment that the goods should be delivered on 2nd March, how can the coolies be sent on leave. I and my mom were waiting for the goods in the empty house even without a chair to sit.
The manager in bangalore office named Gopinath was rude and said nothing can be done. I was requesting him to do some arrangement for stay for that night as we didn't have the basic needs, but he replied that it is not his scope of work. how rude was it.
The goods were atlast delivered on 3rd march 2008 at 2PM. Again the goods were not handled properly. It were not professionals, but coolies who did the work. Again these coolies started asking me for money.
One more manager from bangalore office Mr.chitranjan came to see the damages to the goods and gave a hand written statement that the damages were beyond repairs and the damages which can be repaired will be repaired as soon as possible
As of today (17th April 2008) There was no contact from the company regarding the status. With so many calls made to Mr.lakshman(+91-[protected]), General manager at chennai, there is no proper response.
