I am reporting just to provide you with some cathartic relief and maybe warn others before using Chennai packers for Long distance. I had used them twice before for short distances and they were good. I used the same credibility and hired them to shift my household items from Tamil Nadu to Delhi. But my woes are listed below
1. Delay - I booked the consignment on the 3rd of March in Vellore, it reached Delhi on the 27th of March. Till 13th I was informed by Balaji and Kumar and Vijay Kumar that the goods will reach me in two days. This was the standard reply, when in fact it was not even loaded. If it was loaded, why did it take 24 days to arrive to Delhi. I was promised 7 to 10 days when I asked for the quote and during packing.
2. Packing - The fellows who came for packing arrived 3 hours late with no clue on what to do. The timing provided for packing and loading was not adhered to. The website says very proudly about "packing and moving experts". In truth, they were daily labourers (from UP, Bihar) hired for the day who had absolutely no clue on how to load and unload stuff. The packing provided for the washing machine was never sufficient. It was done so hurriedly as the vehicle for loading had arrived and it had to move "soon". The labourers hired for unloading will not wait till we unpacked things, as they were in a hurry to go. They didnt even collect a receiving letter from me. Where is professionalism in all these?
3. Transport - After the goods reached Delhi, it was put on a non-descript godown, with no proper address or name board. I repeatedly insisted to Ravinder (contact person in Delhi) that a large truck will not enter my street. But he chose a 407 and sent it. The lorry stopped 100 m away and nobody cared to do what next. I had to arrange transport and pay for it. When I contacted Ravinder he blackmailed me that he will not give any money for transport but will return the goods to the godown.
4. Broken items - The back of the washing machine has been smashed rendering it unusable. The mirror of the TVS vehicle is broken and I found petrol leaking, when it was given in a good condition. Balaji assured me that the goods will be insured at the Chennai office. How will these damages be made good?
5. Attitude of Chennai packers - Balaji, Kumar, Vijaya Kumar all lied to me about the arrival time of the goods. One fellow even insulted me when I reported about Ravinder's attitude. They employ daily labourers who are available for the day and the way they handle goods is pathetic. Throughout, nobody took responsibility of the goods with a responsible answer. I have many mobile numbers given by many to contact, but still my goods arrived 24 days late with a broken washing machine.

Chennai Packers & Movers — Goods Delayed by 2 Months
I recently got relocated from Pune to Bangalore and to my bad luck - I had opted the above cargo people. They mentioned that this would be the same lorry which will be at your Banglore flat in a few days time. I asked for the drivers mobile number, but they said that the driver doesn’t carry one!! The delivery was promised in 3 working days and they insisted on making the full payment which I did. Also I paid the labours (2 guys) -1200.So they left Pune on 5th March 2010 and my promised delivery date was 8th March 2010 (Monday). But I got delivery on April 27th 2010 (53 days!!), and most of things are damaged and a few missing.
I have been calling them continuously every day for the past 2 months to hear nothing but false promises. During the initial days (between March 8th to March 15th) their excuse was that the truck carrying my things has broken down in the middle (kholapur) and it requires some heavy engine work. So they need to send a replacement truck to continue their journey and I fell for their excuse. On a few days - they had even gone to the extent of saying that - they are on the way and waiting in the RED signal, there is heavy traffic jam so they are taking a diff route, the vehicle which started from the depot with you things has broken down in the middle (Bangalore City). I had lost 2 days of leave waiting for them on diff occasions!!!
I tried contacting their MD, but as mentioned in one of the compliant - its a total waste!! The biggest mistake I did was choosing these people with out making any research on the internet.
I sincerely request all of you as responsible civilians to propagate this message so that nobody in future should go through this ordeal.
