Citibank Credit Card — False communication from the sales and customer care

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

I am using city bank credit card since last 1 year. And lately I came across an issue where I was charged late fees of Rs.600. I get my money on 7th of every month and with that money I planned to pay my credit card bill on 8th of every month. Now when I was applying for the card the executive told me that the due date would be 8th and I would not face any issue. But few months before when i was charged late fees I called up the customer care and asked them abt the same, they agreed to adjust the amount. And i didn't checked inn if they really did adjusted the amount. this happened 2 to 3 times and i told them my problem. Now when the same thing happened I called the CSD team on 8th Oct 2012. They said that they will not deduct or adjust the late fees, and the due dates vary every month. And while talking to that executive he asked me to change the billing cycle and so that i would not face any problem...

My issue is if there was such option where a person could select or adjust his billing cycle, then why didn't they communicated this to me before. Why didn't they told me to opt for this option when i called the CSD team. If they would had asked me to change the date that time only, then i would had not faced this problem. And now when some manager called me to give an explanation he said that "The customers them-self should ask the customer care executive and ask for the change of plan or the due dates". [censored]r if the customer doesn't know about the plan then how the hell is he gonna ask for the plan. It should be you who from your side should communicate about this to the customers. And if you yourself as an Customer Care Executive don't have any idea about the policies and stuffs, I guess "Just quit the job and go sell peanuts at Band Stand" cause that doesn't require any brains and that the perfect place for pplz like you to work at.. Stop fooling peoples and make hole in their pockets.... If you feel that your organization is running short of funds then just beg for it to the customers they would be OK to give you some amount then to get looted by you'll like this....

I felt that this MNCs would have a better system in place and good services but feels like the Indian Banks are far better then you'll. They might have less to offer but at least they don't cheat their customers.....

There would had been a lot of words with ***r*s and all but since its a public forum I have restricted myself form doing that.... Beggars.....
