[Resolved]  Country Club — No Refund-Bad service and fraud

The Country Club at koramangla, Bangalore called us for a free gift in August 2010. There they canvased us into becoming a member. We were offered an package where we can have a one week free holiday per year at any of their locations and if are not going a particular year we can add the vacations to the next year. In case we want to gift a vacation to any of our friends or relative we can do that also. We could even sell the vacations if needed. And on top of that, if after 2 years we are not satisfied with these we can cancel our membership and get a full refund. The highlight of that was a complimentary insurance policy of 5 lakhs plus 1 lakh life insurance for a couple if we join that day and also if we pay the whole amount of Rs. 1,30,000 we would get a compaq laptop worth Rs.35,000 that time. And we were told that these would still continue even if we cancel our membership. They asked us to make it 2 separate cheques. One Self cheque of Rs.49,000 and another in the name of The Country Club of Rs. 80,000 also made us pay Rs.1,000 in cash at the office. We got the laptop in a weeks time. We were told that the insurance would take 3 months time. That was it. They hardly responded to my queries after that. Only for Annual Fee they used to send mail and call. I had to visit the office several times and each time I will be meeting a new person who will ask me for a grace period of 15-20 days. Each time the person would have changed or the number would have changed. Now when I am contacting them, they say that even if we cancel our membership we won't get the refund. That time they made us sign the papers in a hurry saying that it has all what they had told us. Now they say that it is not there in the agreement. What can be done to such fraudsters. We can't rely on their words. I have a mail from them which says:

Even if they reduce the amount for the laptop and give me the rest I do not mind. i.e. approximately Rs. 1,00,000. What are the procedures for me to get the refund. Can anyone help?
