Deals And You — Cheating/Fraud: Deals and You

This is regarding the cheating and fraudulent practices of Deals and You that we faced in our trip to Bangkok from 30 Dec 2011-3rd Jan 2011( No of People travelled #6).
Deals and You is online agents which sells products and services. The following are the details. We had paid Rs 22000 cost as shown on the their website and in addition to it Rs 2000 (Hidden Charges) sighting New year surplus charges(which was not mentioned on the internet). Our package was inclusive of Travel, Breakfast,Accomodation,Flight Charges( excluding Visa charges).


1) Day 1 & 2: Dec 30 & 31- Pattaya:
No breakfast: In our package Breakfast was included for all 5 days but on Dec 30 ,31 AS WELL AS 1st Jan 2012 we did not get breakfast as the hotel u booked did not have kitchen. For these 3 days our breakfast billed on an average 570 Baht a day i.e 1710 for 3 days.
Travelling: We had transport for city tour in our package, but travel agent had a pre-condition that only if we go for Massage and Sex-show with him, we will be provided free transport or else we have to manage on our own.The accommodation proved was very far from the main Pattaya center .This added additional cost of 550 Baht one way during day time and at night 1000 Baht one way, for two days it costed us 3100 Baht.

2)Day 3,Day 4 & day 5: Bangkok:


Accommodation: We had to stay in poor sub standard hotel with rooms in which barely one person could sleep. Hence we had to book two big room cancelling this room bearing additional cost of 1000 Baht for two rooms per day , totaling to 2000 baht for 2 days. In spite of informing you about this,what we got was false assurances that this money will be refunded the next day, but no action was taken.
Additional Expenses in Bangkok: 6810 baht i.e=6810/31.2*56= Rs 12223


They charged us Rs 2000 per head i.e Rs 12000(6*2000) over and above the offered package on the internet(hidden Charges) ,sighting its new year and will be expensive. But the expenses were barely different from normal day. On top of it I had mailed them regarding Rs 6000 discount received to us, but we still had to pay full non-discounted amount as they made us pay individually and not together.

We had repeatedly communicated to them regarding the inconvenience from Bangkok but no action was taken. After that we have send them 3 reminder mails regarding the entire episode and problem we faced yet again no action. We just received fake assurances at both instances that whatever extra charges we bore will be refunded.



In the entire episode described above, no where I have mentioned about mental and physical strain we had to go through because of poor planning/cheating practices in a nation new to us.
