We had new water connection reference connection number 44470 dated 10/06/08. We are highly thankful for the connection. We have a small office having three working staff the first bill has received by us was on 15/01/09. Amounting Rs.1500/- immediately this was brought in the notice of your office. Again we received a bill on 18/03/09. Amounting Rs.1544/-. we are only using three to four buckets in day but the bill amount showing very high consumption.

we would like to bring to your notice that no inspector ever visited this office for the correct reading . it is requested that the meter reader of this area should come and send bill according to water consumed . both the bills so far are without meter reading . you are requested to kindly advice the concern staff to send the correct bill according to the water consumed by taking genuine meter reading .

There is no fixed time of water supply in Rohini sec-24 (Pocket 3). Can you please fix up a time so that the residents do not face problems.

This is infrom to your kind notice that we live in budh vihar ph I (Block U-1/v-1, 36 to 67. Here, there is not water supply from the 12 days. we registerd the many complaint and called to the ze/je (north/west iv) & contorl room but nobody solved our problem. and always tell a lie.

I pay Lakhs of Rs. as Income Tax to the Govt. every year but Govt. never bothered about civic amenities in our colony. Where we have to make our request no body even local MLA cares bout our areas problem? How can we do our assinged job in our office all the time we have to think and worry about drinking water that we have to fetch from main Najafgarh Road either in the Morning or everning while after coming back from our office.

Dear Sir,

We are resident of Durga Vihar, New Delhi – 62. We are facing serious problem of water for last 2 month from Quarter No. B / 131 to B / 148 due to improper distribution system of water supply or pipelines. Some Quarter are getting as much water as not imagine. They wash their whole house, and outside road, daily given water to plants and wash their vehicles and animals through supply water. And we are not getting even a single drop of water through supply. Here is Tube Well used for water supply.

We weekly call the local water tank supplier regarding water and pay money to him. And also pay regularly bill payment to Delhi Jal Board. We use water like ration. Three child bath through 1 balti water in between 3 day frequency. Clean floor in 3 day frequency.

I requested to you kindly check it out the reason behind such discrepancies.

We bring into your kind notice that the Lal Dora was extended of our village Kharkhari Nahar, Post Office Najafgarh, New Delhi -110043 under law and the executive Counsellor Respected “Ch. Prem Singh’’ during the period 1987-88 and distributed 120 Sq Yard plot for 235 poor peoples during 20th point program, but there is no facility provided for the resident of colony.
During raining session the streets of the colony filled up muddy water. Rainy season comes in the most trouble. These days the students in the schools, hospital patients and the other for work outside the village, the people have to go through mud-filled. Delhi India's capital and third largest city. But no facility provided for the resident of colony and no construct various roads of colony.
These are the residents of village Kharkhari Nahar which falls in Matiala Constituency, there is no drinking water provided to resident. All villagers are facing a lot of problems, also no drinking water has been given to the residents of colony. Water pipe line has been already lay down, but there is no water connection done and also no regular supply. Please find enclosed herewith a representation duly signature copy, by the residents of KharKhari Nahar Village. Regarding water connection & Street.

I am a resident of G-52 Batla House Jamia Nagar New Delhi. We have been facing severe problem of overflowing sewer lines in our locality for the last 3-4 months. Despite lodging complaint several times to authorities, nothing has been done so far. There is dirt and filth all around. Faeces is overflowing. Our Kitchen line and toilet lines are also blocked. We request an immediate action to restore cleanliness

Please ensure cleaning of sewer lines of G-52 Block, Batla House Jamia Nagar. The situation is really bad. People are falling sick due to foul smell.

I am a resident of 4/17 punjabi bagh extention new delhi, it is been six months that we are living in unhygenic condition courtesy Delhi Jal Board, every second week sewer line is blocked, because of this the bad smell of dirty water is available 24 hrs at my house & all the drains are blocked, W/C are over flooded with the dirty smelly water always, we can not eat food because of bad smell, my children are falling sick due to unhygenic condition at my house, we always complaint for the same problem but the authority take a week to understand the same problem every time, everyday we make a call to them request them to rectify this problem but nothing has been done concrete so far .A immediate action is required to this problem from the Delhi Jal Board authority. I have been living in this place from last 25 years & i havent seen that these sewerage line is cleared by these authority so how can these line can function properly they are bound to block if not cleared regularly. I have a humble request to solve this problem as soon as possible.

I want to throw light on one of the major civic problems being faced by our colony Uday Chand Marg, Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi 110003 .Since last several years this problem has surfaced in my area which is leading to a messy situation in the area with lots of diseases .Sewerage situation in the area is too bad that even standing in the Uday chand marg lane is very difficult .This lane is home to several diseases where currently it is very difficult to even breathe .I visited the lane yesterday 24/08/2009 and took some videos to show one of the major areas in our vicinity .



Since this place is merely 1.5 -2 kms away from Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium and Thyagraj stadium where commonwealth games are going to happen next year .

Situation in the area is so worse that old senior citizens have fallen and broken their bones in the lane due to excessive water logging and poor drainage system .We have sent several complaints in the past to Delhi Jal Board and local authorities but no one in the area is able to listen and not even a single action took place .



There is a major risk of Malaria, Cholera, Tuberculosis and Swine flu like diseases .Womens and childrens cant even walk in their own lane due to the risk of diseases .

Several people in the past have been admitted to AIIMS and Safderjung hospital due to Illness and diseases .



The sewer line in the area is choked which doesn’t allow water to flow away, thanks to poor drainage system which amounts to the trouble .We have sent several complaints and applications in the past to various authorities with no avail as such .


We are followers of congress party since last 50 years as this area is under the name of my great grandfather .With kind of faith and trust we put into the party we want justice to our woes as living in the area like Uday chand marg is like hell .Residents o[censored]day Chand Marg don’t understand why there is a discrimination against their colony when sewerage line of all other nearby areas like Arjun Nagar, Wazir Nagar and Gurudwara Road are completely changed .



This area is one of the major localities of South Delhi, within close vicinity of South extension part 1, Defence Colony, AIIMS, Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium and Asiad Village .





Even water coming in the taps is full of dirt and waste material . people are forced to drink that which leads to several deaths .Delhi Jal board has so far not taken any kind of action with several complaints in the past .I have personally been ill for last so many days due to viral fever due to sewerage .Me being a senior citizen is now experiencing all kinds of troubles at this age .Ladies and old people in the area are unable to even walk down the lane .



Our relatives cant even visit our home due to this watery mess and last week one of my friends daughter who stays in nearby house, who is married came here with her children and due to poor road and sewerage condition, her son fell down the road breaking his legs, therefore her son has to be admitted to the hospital for a broken leg case .Also some of the people in the area got admitted last week in AIIMS due to suspicion of Swine Flu like symptoms .



We are living in 21st century where India is on a roll and congress party has big role to play in that, there is no doubt about that but still these kind of sewerage and drainage problems are existing in south delhi’s affluent colonies .We are law abiding citizens and therefore demand a severe and high level inquiry into this problem so that we can live our lives peacefully without any diseases .



It is my kind hearted request to all the assigned authorities to take an urgent action to solve this problem once for all so that our faith in Congress party remains intact .

We are facing the problem of water before last four days our water pipeline repaired/joint a new pipeline by Delhi Jal Board on 26-12-08, after that our pipeline is blocked of H.No.290, 294, 293 & 296 of KD Block, but our some neighbours getting the water that is not in sufficient quantity or not pure (mixed with some dust).

We informed Mr.R.K. Sharma (JE) Mob.:[protected] & Mr.Anil (Mob.[protected]) on 29-12-08 but till date we have not get a solution of that, they saying we will come on today after some time and others.

We request you to please take a action in this regard immediately, so that we can get the proper supply of water.

As such, Delhi Jal Board, Najafgarh has supplied water tanker in the Village. I have serveral times requested to Jal Board, Najafgarh to provide the little water takner for four houses at Lakshi Johar Point.within a week. the Xen has promised to me that the little water tanker will be provided to 1st May, 2009. But the same has not been taken action in so far. Please arrange the said tanker at the earliest. I t is very facing problem of water in four houses.

WE ARE RESIDING AT BLOCK NO. 50 AND 51, ASHOK NAGAR, NEW DELHI-110018 FROM LAST 5 YEARS. WE ARE FACING THE PROBLEMS OF NON WATER SUPPLY FROM LAST 3 MONTHS. EVERYDAY, WE HAVE TO SPEND RS 70/= ON DRINKING WATER. OUR AREA IS AT END OF WATER DISTRIBUTION LINE. THE NON- WATER SUPPLY IS BEACUSE OF PROBLEM OF WRONG CONNECTING OF WATER- PIPELINES AND BALS. OUR BLOCK IS NEAR AT SINDHI MINDER WALI GALI, ASHOK NAGAR, NEW DELHI- 110018.

IN LAST MONTHS, WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN GONE MANY TIMES TO DELHI JAL BOARD 'S OFFICE IN WEST, BUT THEY ARE NOT TAKING PROPER ACTION. MAIN CHIEF ENGINEER IS ONLY PROMISING WITH US FOR WATER -SUPPLY BUT HE IS NOT TAKING ANY ACTION FOR WATER PIPE-LINES.

WE HAVE ALSO GONE TO THIS AREA'S M.L.A. O.P. BABAR JI FOR THIS PROBLEM. BUT WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE TILL DATE. SIR, I HOPE THAT YOU WILL SOLVE OUR THIS PROBLEMS OF NON-WATER SUPPLY.

Actually our is a unique problem as the residents of other streets adjacent to our street are getting regular uninterrupted water supply whereas there is no water supply in our street. It seems either pipeline is blocked or otherwise got damaged.

Delhi Jal Board — Open Pit

From the last 4-5 months Delhi Jal Board had dug a deep pit in Siddartha Extn. The pit is on the connecting road and because of the pit, the school buses, office van and other vechicles are unable to move. It is causing lot of problem to the residents of Siddartha Extn. The work progrees is very slow. Please complete the work at the earliest to unable us to have a smooth life.

Sir I am working with Telecom Regulatory Authority of India at Mahanagar Doorsanchar Bhawan, JLN Marg, Old Minto Bridge, Delhi-110002. Sir I am living with my small family in Sagarpur, I have two Kids, One Daughter studying in St Marks School, Janakpuri and my Son is just 2 years of age.

Sir, above mentioned details are given only to introduced you with the problems facing by the peoples having small family and old age parents living in sagarpur. Sir everybody are aware the road conditions of Sagarpur, there are so many garbage on side the road, open sever, open holes where rain water get stored in Rainy season but we are forced to live their in such conditions. Peoples are not even walk properly because of sand, holes, garbage spread on the roads in sagarpur. We are totally helpless and hopeless with the working of MCD in that area.

Sir as I mentioned above my 6 years old Daughter study in St. Marks School Janakpuri, I dint get convence for Pickup and drop for her school. I have contacted many Maxi-cab Peoples but they have denied providing pickup- and dropping because of the condition of Roads in Sagarpur. Sir even it is not easy for my wife to cover 5 Kms distance with my 2 years old son after meeting problems with the Road conditions in Sagarpur. Sir as a Good Human being, you can understand the problems facing by us.

Government constructed multiple flyovers with a millions of expense, I also appreciate this development of our government, but can’t they spend lakhs of money to build straight road/ to cover open sewerage.

Sir this is last, but not least. Sir every Tuesday open Market is placed in our area, it is a residential area, people cant even enter their vehicles because of rush due to that market in our street in that market. Sir is it permissible to put open market in the residential area, as we all aware that we are facing terrorism in our country, who will be the responsible if some miss happening take place.

Sir, I am not the only person facing this problem but every single person live in Sagarpur facing this problem in hope that one good fellow take charge of this area and solve the problems of poor peoples.


I request you to kindly deal this matter and do the needful for poor peoples as they dont have any other source where their problems get resolve.

We are facing problems due to chocked sewer line in the back side of the DDA flats, bad smell and Sewer line water coming out in the back side of the houses since last 2 months. Your official visited the site but they are not able to open the chocked sewer line.

Its our humble request please depute an engineer with his team to short out the problem and change the sewer line which has not been changed since 25-30 years. This is the only solution to the resident of the colony to save them from mosquito, bad sell, seepage and there a danger of spread of dengu and epidemics in the area. We have already visited so many times to Jal Sadan Jal Vihar and wrote so manny letters to your Jr.Engineers.

Once again it is requested to kindly change the sewer line as early as possible.

Short supply of water

we are residents of farid puri, west patel nagar, near 26 block, west patel nagar, new delhi from bansal wali lane, lalloo shop to pappy dairy wali gali and this is to inform you that we are facing acute water shortage proble in our area/ locality. Now it has been more than six months that there is short supply (only 20 to 25 minutes in 24 hours ) in our area, we have made many complaints but all in vain. It is very difficult for us to servive in short water supply. so most of the time is spent in buying and searching of water. We contacted mr. chirangi lal, J..E. and mr. J.P. reman other senior officer of this area regarding short supply of water, but they refused to help us. they told that this is the universal problem and we can't help.

we met the water supplying men, rock garden west patel nagar, main tank from where the supply of water has been done for farid puri area, they said there is no problem of water, the problem is, the theft of water between main tank to farid puri tank. there are several illegal connection taken . although the farid puri water tank was made for only farid puir's people but 75% to 80% water theft.

sir, we request you to please make an enquiry regarding the theft of water between main tank to farid puri's tank and make necessary action for supply water for minimum one hour of this areas.

I along with the residents will be highly obliged if suitable action is taken. Waiting for a quick response and action in this regard.

Impure/Dirty Water
Hi,

I am a resident of Jain Park, Uttam Nagar.our colony receives impure & dirty water, which is unfit for drinking, even after repeated filterations. The water we get through our taps, completely defeats the inherent properties of water. It is usually brown, contains visible impurities & tastes horrible. At times it smells so badly, as if it's coming directly from some drains.
We don't even feel like washing our clothes from that water, let alone drinking.
I want to bring to everyone's attention that, if DJB cannot provide safe water for drinking, what can a common man expect for other purposes.

My connection in name of my mother, Pushpa Kumar.
We received a bill of Rs.100/- on Oct'08, which was paid on 26/07/2008, and then the next one in the month of Jan'09 worth 632/-. It had charges of 160/-, which seemed legible even if we don't receive any water supply. The matter of concern is that it had additional last balance of 471/-. When I visited DJB's Najafgarh branch with the complaint, I was redirected to Paschim Vihar branch. There when the same was conveyed, they showed their inability of having no records and I was said that you have received a bill in between, when we or our neighbours have not received any.
Another matter of concern is that my last bill had a reading of 495 kl and the current reading is 499 kl. I would like to know when no one ever came to check the connection, how come the reading increased?

Next bill No 16456 dated 23/7/2008 was for Rs. 677/- including Rs 386/- of last bill (with panelty), the same was paid as Rs. 291/- after correction on 25/8/2008. Next bill No. 90148 dated 17/10/2008 was for Rs.667/- including Rs. 405/- of last bill (with panely) and Rs 262/- was paid on 29/10/2008 after correction made by office of Delhi Jal Board. Next bill no. 144272 dated 12/1/2009 was Rs. 740/- including Rs 425 /-(with panelty), the same was paid in January, 2009 as Rs.315/- after correction. Next bill (currect bill) No. 217197 dated 21.3.2009 is for Rs. 554/- including Rs. 446 /- with panely. A written request in this regatd was handed over to office of Delhi Jal Board, Yojana Vihar, Delhi -110098 in the month of January, 2009 but no action has been taken and Delhi Jal Board is sending wrong bills. Delhi Jal Board is requested again to send correct bills in future.

Firstly there was very bad foul smell of severage in MCD water and now there is no supply of water. Not only my family but whole colony is facing this same problem and there is no way to complaint about this serious thing so, i found your mail ID through "Delhi Jal Baord" site to let you aware about this water problem. So, please take an urgent step to get this problem solved.
I must say that the employee of jal board did't work properly. Whenever we go to our area "pradhan", he doesnot take it seriously and does't have any sense how to talk. So where should the common people go to complaint about the area's water problem.

We are the resident of Dani Mauhalla village Jonapure New Delhi-47. We would like to draw your kind attention toward the severe water supply shortage in our area. We are facing problem of non water supply from last 6 six months.We are facing very depressed situation due to non water supply. It is a drought like situation in our area. The problem was same in all past summers, but this year it is very severe. And the problem is such that we can not imagine to have water supply properly in winter also.
You would be happy to know that Govt tubewells are working properly.
But problem is due to illegal connections. Many farmhouses, factories, warehouse etc. are using water supply which is meant for the resident of Dani Mauhalla. To solve this problem you can take many measures.
So we hope you will look in to the matter and save us from this severe drought like situation .We will be very great full to you.

I would like to inform you that there is leakage of water from the sewer line opposite to house No.86 Double Storey, New Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi for the last many days/months, since the water leakage is noticed every day during the time of water supplied by DJB between 5AM & 7AM or so.Authorties may look into it.

Recently I received a bill of Rs 508 for the water consumption. This bill was showing a previous outstanding of Rs 253 where as it was paid vide cheque No. 466828 on Syndicate Bank dated[protected] and debited from my account on[protected]. Passbook entry can be produced if required as a proof of transferring account to Jal Board.

It is not understood why such a blunder is done by a large government organization. Will you refund with other service charges already charged by you and explain the procedure to get it refund.

It is requested to investigate the lapses on your part and take necessary action so that no reoccurrence happens.

“I once again pray for your reconsidering adjustment & issue a fresh bill on the basis of last 2-5 Years average of my water bills”.
THIS ASPECT HAS NOT BEEN CONSIDERED WHILE REPLYING TO MY COMPLAINT.
I would request you to please review this case and & be impartial & fair while reconsidering your decision & issue a revised bill on the basis of average consumption of water per month in order to resolve complaint.

I have limited source of income, how i will pay this type of huge amount bill.

I am staying in Pocket-C of Sarita Vihar (C-365). In a cluster of Flats and including mine, we are compelled to consume stinking water supplied by DJB, since last 2 months. We have been complaining on phone to the officials up to EE (S) IV ( Mr. SPS Chauhan). Every time we are assured that the potable wtaer supply will be resumed shortly, but with no respite. The water is so stinking that you even can not smell, what to talk about consuming the same. After repeated complaints, some o[censored]s are provided Tanker supply for few days. We are forced to call private Supplier for daily needs also.

I hope that the problem shall be looked in to with highest priority.

I have received a bill of Rs 1357 including previous arrears of Rs 855 ? It not understood which is the arrears not paid so far. It is not the first time inflated bill received by me, it has bee happening since quite long. I have all the records to be verified but why? I feel Delhi Jal Board to learn billing format from the BSES or NDPL which clearly shows the record of all previous payment made. Mistakes or error is always possible once or twice but not every time.

This is the right time to knock the door of Consumer court to seek relief from unwanted harassment by unorganized Delhi Jal Board NO action is taken against the staff who generate bill and I have to visit the Shahdara Jal board office every time.

.My flat No. is 35-C, Pkt C, Siddartha Extn. My water meter K No. is [protected].I am out of the country since October 2013.
My meter readings on various dates are as follows.
18/2/14 1574.00 KL
01/4/14 1575.26 KL
30/4/14 1576.26 KL

I received Bill No.[protected] dated 26/4/14 for Rs.2080.It was mentioned that the meter was locked when the DJB person visited on 26/4/14.I was arbitrarily charged for 77 KL.
It can be seen from the above readings taken by DJB person that the water consumption was 1.26 KL as on 1/4/14, or 2.26 KL as on 30/4/14.
I want the water bill to be corrected, and the revised bill be sent to me for payment.

My K No. is [protected].I have been charged more than 1 lakh rupees for two months in the current bill.My water meter reading even today is 90 KL only.But the bill show the meter reading as of end of April is 1950 KL.Due to a mistake in noting down the reading by DJB people.such an astronomic bill has come to us.Kindly correct.

I got allotted Govt accommodation on Jan 2011 and accordinlgy applied for water connection. Delhi Jal Board installed unserviceable Water meter and charged flat rate.
I lodged a complaint, given reminder again and again to replace the defective water meter or permit to install own paid water meter. But till date nothing happened. I paid all dues till date.
I visited Delhi Jal Board office at RK Puram, complained to all verbal and written and left no stone unturned, but all in vain.
Let me know what I can do now? whether I have to knock the doors of consumer court or to continue to pay the illegal bill for ever?

Delhi Jal Board — Highly water bills come again and again.

My bill dated 10th Jan'16 for K.No:[protected] is Rs.854. my consumption is usually only in between 10 to 20 units for two months as only my MOM stays there. So since there is no water consumption, there should be no bill, since its 500lts free water in delhi now.So why such a high bill for 51 UNITs is charged?My bill no. is[protected]

Second thing, no body came to check the meter reading then on what behalf this huge bill is generated and for what meter reading you're charging for ?...

Please send some reliable person and compare my meter last reading to current reading.

Also you can see my bill history of last year. I never consumed 51 units then why you charged for 51 units. It should be 15 or 20 units. PLS INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER.

And last thing, I never get bill's hard copy. I have to online check my bill. Why don't you generate and deliver bill's hard copy to my address???

Therefore, you are once again requested to look into the matter & refund the excess valuation amount of Sewer Connection.
