[Resolved] Duplicate Pan Card — Harrasment/Non receipt of Duplicate PAN card | |
Sir, I am holding a PAN card AALPH5292E in my name issued by Chief Commissioner of Income -Tax, Karnataka & Goa. This card was issued to me during my posting at Mangalore. I am working with HPCL, a Public Sector Underaking Company. My job is of transferable nature. During my posting at Kolkata I had lost my PAN card on 15.10.07. I had appllied for a duplicate PAN Card on 20.02.08 and submitted my application along with Police FIR and other required documents at UTI PAN SERVICE CENTRE, KOLKATA. Acknowledge No as mention in acknowledgement slip is CSF Number[protected]/[protected]. Since then I have been folowing up with almost all dept including income tax dept Bangalore, UTI Pan Service Kolkata and Mumbai. I did almost 50 correspondence with UTI Technology service Ltd, Income Tax Pan Service Unit, Mumbai. I had personnaly discussed with One Mr Chanchal Dey of Kolkata UTI Pan Sevise Dept. Sorry to say that he has not responded to my querry when ever I and my representative had approched him. Sir, this to bring to your kind notice that I have been transfered again to Visakhapatnam in March 2008. My representative has visted the Kolkata office almost 25 times. Sorry to say that no response. Please note that already 6 month is over since I had applied for Duplicate Pan Card. I feel this intentionally a harrasement to me. I would request you to please at least advise me the stutus of my application, How much more time it will take to issue the PAN Card?. You are also requested to recommend strong action against all who are responsible for this delay and harrasement and arrange for my PAN Card at my Visakhapatnam address Was this information helpful? | |

I sympathize with you on delay in getting your PAN card replaced.
However the process of issuing PAN cards has been very successful and govt is happy to see that direct tax collection, return filing process, tax refund process etc are streamlined towards a great extent. A few years back when PAN cards where not there all these processes were much more tedious. New initiatives like online tax returns etc employ high end IT technologies. Good to see that from our govt.
Personally, it reminds me that I shouldn't carry PAN card always in wallet. Should keep it at home.

I have applied for duplicate pan card till today ther is no action taken in this matter I would request you to please at least advise me the stutus of my application, How much more time it will take to issue the Duplicate PAN Card?. Best way is to apply your application through for a duplicate card thru NSDL on this site.

You can fill the form online and pay the amount through Credit Card. Send the application to the address mentioned. Detailed instructions are given on the site. You should get your card within a month.
