[Resolved]  Electrolux Dff44 Refrigerator — Cheating customer

I purchased a DFF44 double door model electrolux refrigerator about 4 years ago. A few months back, its cooling levels dropped down considerably. I realised that this may have been because the plastic tube on the edges of the door frame had worn out. Around mid May 2009, I registered 2 complaints with Electrolux customer care helpline no.[protected]

1. to replace the tube
2. to remove dents and repaint door

I was given a complaint number mum[protected].
Within 2 days an electrician named Mr. Azim came to meet me. At just a glance he told me that the door would have to be taken to service station for the tube to be replaced. Knowing that there would be untoward delays in completing repair jobs, I asked for a replacement door so that my refrigerator could continue to function. To which the technician agreed and promised he would come with it the next day. As service charge, he took Rs. 400 from me. I have not received a call or seen him ever since. Meanwhile, I called the customer care number once again asking them to take stock of the situation and the reply I recieved was that their records stated that the complaint was resovled. I was shocked. They registered a fresh complaint no. mum[protected]. After making several calls, Azim informed me that Mr. Shamin and Mehraj Sheikh who were in charge of that particular service centre were responsible for the delay. When I spoke to Mr. Shamin Sheikh he gave me excuses saying that the replacement door was still to arrive from the company, the painter had gone on leave and so on. Whom do I hold responsible for this grevious act of irresponsibility and grave negligence. Such a reputed company like Electrolux, taking customers for a ride is unthinkable. It is indeed a shame. If my complaint is not resolved within the next 48 hours, I will go to any extent to defame Electrolux's reputed name. So please beware and take appropriate action as well to book the culprits.
