eTechies.in — Cannot repair a laptop

I have given my Compaq Presario CQ60 laptop to etechies.in on monday(27 Aug). There was a repair required for the internal microphone which was not working, however, when i used to connect external microphone, it was working. On 28 Aug, I got a call from engg that my laptop has been received by them and they are looking into the issue. I explained them the whole issue over the phone. On Wednesday, I called them back to know the status of my laptop. They told me that its a hardware problem and laptop is required to be formatted. I being a software engineer know that if there is an issue with hardware, it cannot be fixed by formatting the drives or updating the drivers. Those guys didnt understand that and formatted my laptop. Also, as on today 31 august, I am still unaware of what is the status of my laptop. Please could anyone look into this matter as without my permission those guys have formatted the laptop and also to replace a mic, they are taking it like 5 working days. Also, when i gave them a call today, they said that it will take further 2-3 days to put in the microphone. I am aware of all these stuff and it hardly takes 15-20 minutes to put in the internal microphone in a laptop.
