[Resolved]  Expedia — Failed service

Booked a room at Lemon Tree hotel at Chennai with 2-way transfer from the airport. At the time of booking the arrival and departure flights were mentioned.

When the passenger arrived there was no transfer. When she arrived at the hotel there was no booking. Fortunately the hotel accepted the Expedia confirmation and gave her a room with transfer to airport next day.

When Expedia was asked for a refund of the airport/hotel transfer they claimed that the matter had been refered to 'higher management. Ten weeks later when they were asked again they said that they only promised a 'shuttle' which in their language meant 'one-say'. This was a blatant lie as the booking clearly mentioned 'two-way transfer'. When this too was pointed out they mentioned that we had not informed them of the flights. That too was a lie as can be seen from the booking.

At this stage they stopped responding to correspondence having run out of excuses.

Be warned that Expedia is a ruthless thieving organisation that cares nothing for giving the customer what he or she has paid for.
