Hello there, I am writing to tell you about an extremely negative experience that I have had with Expedia.co.in, on a trip I had booked from Mumbai to Cape Town. (Itinerary number: [protected]) Despite my making my travel booking in May 2012 for a trip in July 2012, my tickets were canceled on the _*DAY OF MY DEPARTURE*_, less than 10 hours before I was due to check in at Mumbai International Airport. Not only was I told that my flight was canceled, I was also informed that Expedia could not book me on a new flight on the same rate that I had paid in May - despite this cancellation being no fault of mine. _*My expense for this trip tripled from an initial cost of INR 51,000, to an additional INR 1,00,000 for a new ticket.*_ Since July, neither has my refund from Expedia come in for the canceled ticket (as I have been told - please see email chain below) ; nor have I been able to elicit any repose from the Customer Care team about refunding me for the extra INR 50,000 that I had to spend on a new, last minute ticket. _*ALL I ASK FOR IS THE REFUND OF INR 1,00,000*_ - to cover the cost of my initial booking, and the extra charge on the new ticket. I would be happy to provide all receipts and relevant bank information. no refund given
an expedia employee has cancelled my ticket without my consent. They have agreed to it , but have not yet refunded my cancellation charge. ref. no -S[protected]
