Even i got miss call from number [protected]

I, Chandrashekhar Phadke, a subscriber of mobile service from Airtel in Pune got a missed call on 28.10.10 at 14:20 HRS from no. [protected]. When I called back an elderly Punjabi accented voice told me that I have won a lottery of Rs. 25 Lacs from Airtel. I warned him not to call back and disconnected the call which lasted for 25 seconds. The good part is today (29.10.10) I got SMS from Airtel with matter "You have made a call to ISD code 0092. We urge you to excersize caution while calling unknown no. and sharing personal details as it can be misused" After this I checked and found that the said no. is from Pakistan. This just to share my experience with all other readers.
I also got today 03.11.2010 missed call from [protected] in morning.
Today i got a call from [protected] saying are u a airtel customer and that he is calling from Airtel's Kolkata call center and you have won a cash prize of 10 lakh rupees, In order to get that money u have to call the Mumbai center and they will assist you . I immediately disconnected my phone . Govt please look into this
I got a missed call from number [protected] today . i was concrened due to it being an international call. when i searched the internet i saw this chain of mail. and discovered this is a fake call recket. request you to take it forward.

I also got a call first from[protected] from a guy name Rahul Sharma and then he said that I have won a lottery from Airtel on the occassion of Diwali. Therefore for further proceeding I should talk to Mr Ram Singh who is a Sr. Supervisor at Airtel HQ Mumbai. Then I called to Mr. Ram Singh at the No. [protected] (given by Rahul Sharma) and at call with Ram Singh, he told me to buy Airtel Dish TV Coupons worth Rs.10700/-. Still, while talking to him, I heard a noice of Masjid then I found a doubt on this call because we can't expect any outside noice from any Head Quarter or any Corporate office.

Fake — FAKE CALLS
This Chander Talwar have received fake lottery related calls on my mobile number ([protected]) telling me that I have won a prize money worth Rs 1000000 in a lucky draw from airtel in the form of a diwali bonus. In against of such prize money they demanded from me ITZ cash card coupons/Dish TV recharge coupons worth Rs 15600 as the security amount.However, i had not followed there instructions.
The numbers from where I had received such calls are:

It is hereby strongly requested to take stringent action against such people on an urgent basis
Fake Numbers — Fake calls & Slang Language
Two different fake numbers are disturbing me & they say many slang language in my mobile. The numbers are [protected] & [protected] yesterday near about at 7 pm i got missed call from no[protected]. when i give return call at this no. a person named jai parkash says me that u wins a lottery of 25 laks. and then he give me a no [protected]when i call at this no. a person named raj singhania says me same as the above he says that u wis a lottery. so 4 this u have to pay 12000 rs. for security on account no[protected] of icici branch in the favour of shree balaji textiles. then u wll get ur 25 laks check but 1st i contact with airtel office then he tell me that thats a fake call. this is from pakistan so plz be avair of them i[censored] will get any of the call regarding this. plz dont trust any of them
I have been getting missed calls from +92 no. from last 3 days.. I thought it might be from my any friend who are abroad, but now when i checked the no., its of PAKISTAN.. I asked my Dad who is SP, he said: Don't attend any call from Pakistan or dont even make any call, if it will be traced out by RAW then Police will arrest. Don't even think to call 100 no, it will be like steping on an axe. Avoid, if you cant then take guidance from some colleagues who are in police that "what a person should do if got a call from Pakistan" but thats too without telling them that you are getting missed calls.
Be aware as police personnels are never trustworthy, they wil make you stuck only for 1100 or 2200 Rs increment per month.
Best thing is to avoid thats what is in our hand...

I have the Idea connection & got the first call from [protected] & the person told me that he is calling from Mumbai & I won a lottery of amount Rs. 10 Lakh. When I asked for the details then he told me Amitabh Bachan & Sharuhk Khan Draw around 500 mobile numbers in a Lucky Draw. After that he gave me one more number [protected] & told me to call to this number, this person is in Delhi & the Bank Manager.
When I spoke to that person, I was sure that its a fraud group of people. Finally I told him. Keep the money with you as a Gift from me & disconnected.

I got this call to... Number was[protected]Karan Kumar)... I saw a missed call on my phone and i called back to check if it were a friend of mine... But he told me he's from Idea Mumbai and told me about the Rs. 25 lakh lottery.. He gave me another number [protected] (Sr. Supt. Akash Verma) saying he will provide you with the details...

My father also got a misscall from the number [protected] and when my father called back that number the person on otherside gave a number to my father [protected] and told to call on that number when my father call on that the person on other side told that he was calling from mumbai and my father won a lottary, he told to my father to purchase dish tv coupon of 9000 rs and provide the serial number and also demans for the voting card and account number y father gave all the details because he was unaware from this type of fake calls... my father complained regarding this to airtel andi also logged a complain on customer care regarding this ... this type of fake calls may be very dangerous so please be carefull when u recieve this type of call and don't provide any details to them becuase the call may be a part of terrerisom and by our personal information they can create wrong database and documents to get entry in india... so please be very carefull about this... I too got call from [protected] from this number and he informed me that I have got Rs .10 Lak in my a/c and i need to contact somebody named Rahul on this number.
I beleive this call was from Fake group of peoples who do this kind of cheating regularly and airtel seems to be unable to do anything other than replying that they are investigating the matter, Really no control over such issues by iartel
