[Resolved] Fast Track Call Taxi — Car didn't turn up and asked us to arrange alternative | |||
I booked a taxi with Fast track one fine morning around 10:00 AM for a taxi pickup at evening 06:00 PM to Chennai central. I had very little knowledge at that time that the Fast Track guys are going to make us end the day horribly. Immediately after the booking I got the due sms acknowledgement from the taxi guys confirming the booking along with the pickup time. Till 05:30 I didn't get the cab and the driver details. So I called around 05:30 to check if the cab will arrive by 06:00 PM. I was asked to wait for sometime while they find the status. After sometime I got a answer that no one would want to hear at the eleventh hour. The call center lady told me casually that we don't have any available taxi currently and asked me to find alternative way for the travel. I got terrified and asked the lady to put me onto the in-charge and she transferred the call to another person. The person who introduced himself as Karthik, customer relationship manager, told very cooly the following sentences "We don't have taxis currently to allocate against the bookings. So leave this instance and the booking. Find some other way for the travel." I asked him about the following 1) Whether he knows how this will affect us - like missing the train (for me) or flights (for some others). 2) Why the taxi guys didn't inform us in advance that they cant send the taxi. Karthik (CRM) maintained his coolness and told all the bookings with them are either for train or for flights. He also told he would not be able to send the taxis to all the bookings today due to shortage. He further told that they wont be able to call them and inform the status as the bookings are huge. Finally I had to run around in the last minute to arrange for a cab. I was quite appalled about the don't care attitude of the Fast track fellows.What should have been considered very important is taken very very lightly. This clearly shows how they treat their bookings and the people and their business who depend upon these guys for their travel.
