[Resolved]  fresh passport — New passport applied on 7th February 2008 and Police verification completed on 22nd June 2008 but till date passport not issued.

I am a resident of Hyderabad and have applied for a new passport on 7th February 2008 under File no.A 011794.The Police verification was completed on 22nd June 2008 but till date the passport has not been issued.On the contrary, the website of the Passport office just gives an information that "Police Verification not received".I had also received a mail from the passport office on 29th September 2008 asking me to talk to the police department only as the Passport office has not received the verification report till date.I am too surprised to see the mail as the verification was completed on 22nd June 2008 by a police officer named Tripal Reddy, mobile no.[protected] personally.Now, which police department or office should I talk to?

I had again submittedtwo sets of Personal Particulars forms at Passport office but no enquiry or verification was done again.

I request the passport office to clearly provide me the details of the police department with complete address so that I can meet them personally or cancel the application submitted immediately.
