[Resolved] GD Goenka World School — Not Refunding the security deposit of Rs.95000

My 2 kids studied in this school for 2 years and after that we withdrew them from there because of the uncongenial environment in the boarding. That we explained to Principal and the Administartor in details. So they verbally agreed on refunding the security deposits for both the kids. But we have received only one. They still owe Rs.95000 to us. Since last one month I have been calling them and e-mailing them consistently but no response to anything. Nobody picks up the phone and reply the e-mail. This is a professioanl cheating. You can't accept such kind of ridiculous behaviour from a world school. We live overseas and sent our kids to this school to understand our Indian roots, culture and hostel life. This kind of behaviour and unethical way of treatment shouldn't be tolerated. An immediate strict action should be taken against this school to get us the refund of Rs.95000 which is our hard earned money and this professional way of cheating should be stopped right away.

I share similar view with above poster. Because of negative feedback & reputation, I did not admit my son here in this school. After doing thorough research and taking inputs from other parents- on student life ( hostel life) here I was barely convinced to risk with my son's academics and future.

Besides poor quality teaching staff and bad management I found students do not have proper grooming. Many of them use drugs and other addictions with the influence of some of neo-rich community students who come from surrounding Haryana who are basically part of land grabbing mafia or overnight rich from rural background who sold their farm land for millions and admitted their kins in this school being proximity to capital of India.

Majority of students here do not come from reputed and convincing background. All that you need is money to get in this school. I cannot imagine my son going with such crowd who has no background except money.

HI

I am thinking of admitting my Son in GD Goenka World school as a Hosteler.

But I am not sure about the atmosphere, have heard some negative reports about it.

Students getting into all type of bad habbits of Liqueur and smoking from very young age.

There is no control in the hostel and school.

So I am confused, please help me what to do.
