General Post Office — postman

Respected Sir /Madam,

Myself Kanchan Mehta,

I am very much disappoint by behavior of one of postman posted in shilaj gaam, taluka-Daskroi, Ahmedabad, gujarat.

I have shifted my address from "52 Raj Residency, opp. Shalin Bungalows, B/S Karmjyot, Shilaj, Ahmedabad" to "A/206, Om Enclave, near Prajapati ni wadi, Kudasan, Gandhinagar", Gujarat. For which I have submitted a hand written Application to the post master of Shilaj, through one of the Postman (Devangbhai) posted at Shilaj post office on 20th Jan 2013.

At that time postman demanded rs 1000 for sending all posts to us till we get our new address changed on everywhere. We have given him rs. 500 after negotiation. he took the application for change of address for forwarding the posts and said that he will submit the application on behalf o[censored]s.

Till now post coming from normal posts are dropped in post box of our old house at Shilaj and everything was going smoothly. but we always thought that instead of giving an application for change of address to the post why all post are still coming on the old address?

On 4/04/2013 I received a call regarding a speed post coming in my name, I have been asked that I have not informed the sender's organisation about the change of address which is a crime.

I tried to explain him that I have already submitted application for that to the sender's organisation also to the post office. And requested him to wait or tell me where I have to come to pick the post. The postman denied giving post to me and said that he will return the post to the organisation. I again requested him to wait or tell me the way I get the post, as the post was really important to me. I asked him for help.

then he asked me for some money and talk in a wrong way (vulgar means). I again told him that what he is saying is not right and he has no manners to talk to a lady. he said that he is a Government officer and "saali tu mera kuchh nahi ukhad sakti hai, tune bahut bada crime kiya hai and ab ye post to main return kar dunga.",

I lost my control said ok. if I have made any crime then my lawyer will talk to you.

After that I told all this story to one of my elder brother giving that postman' number (Devangbhai [protected]).

I don't know what conversation they had.

Next day I have been called to Thaltej Post office, where they again taken an application for change of address from me and after signing and submitting my ID and other documents they handed over the post to me. when i asked him for his ID proof and a receipt of the documents he has taken, he again threaten me that "Ab tu jaa ab to tera post main nahi hi dunga" . I realized he was the same postman who had taken money and application from us. I said in front of my brother that he is the one who has taken a written application and demanded Rs.1000 for forwarding/delivering the letters .

Sir, I am really very very upset, every one is saying "k jane do tumhe letter to mil gaya na". But I want to take this to your notice that how that Post Man has humiliated and abused me, and if you can take some action against that postman.
