[Resolved]  GILMA Chimney Hobs — Pathetic Support

I purchased a GILMA Chimney and a Hob (GST4B) in October 2007. During purchase, I was assured of PROMPT SUPPORT till 12 months, but only after 3 months, this seemed a very notional commitment.

3 days back, while switching ON the hob, the knob simply came out and Gas started leaking. I had no option but to turn off the regulator. I tried calling Gilma Support (phone no. 23149101, Mr Lokesh) but he expressed his inability to come and asked me to keep it pending till 2 - 3 days, When I argued, he simply said go and talk to our heaqd office, we wont come before 3 days.

I tried contacting Gilma company, STOVEKRAFT as well parent VARDHMAN group but neither no Phone number available on Web. Only Fax and email - when sent, Emails Bounced abd Fax is unanswered. I am unable to contact any customer support or service number.

Folks, I've a similar complaint. I bought New Gilma HOB and Chimney Oct-2010 at Hyderabad and now the HOB switch control does not work, that too it stopped functioning while the gas was switched on. To top it all mine is a centralized Gas pipe connection not through cylinder.

Now to switch off the stove, I have to go to the main Pipe control and turn off the main lever.

Story does not end, to turn on the stove, go to the Main pipe and turn on the main pipe lever - immediately the gas starts flowing from the stove and I'll have to RUN back to the kitchen and ignite with a match stick.

I call up the Service center in the morning saying this is an emergency issue and needs fix immediately, but he logs complaint and does not send anyone throughout the day. Tomorrow is a holiday (26th Jan)

Not sure what to do? I'm another disgruntled customer and I feel like being cheated buying this product which is of a bad quality paying 32, 000 just for hob and Chimney.

GILMA folks, wake up otherwise some o[censored]s will see you in Consumer court!

I bought Gilma chimney & stove on 06.11.2010.Now it is working well, i am happy with Gilma product. This i have purchased at sarjapur road, they are co-operating well & good service also.
I purchased GILMA Chimney on May, 2008 from Chandigarh and after few month Chimney stopped working due to motor failure and on my complaint they visited my house in the month of oct, 2010 and assured to replace the same but failed despite several call and visit now filing a complaint before consumer forum.
So, I also strongly recommend to never think about Gilma products.

In my case also, I am trying to get the problem in my chimney rectified but the showroom person is not responding. I brought it from Navakar Enterprises street 8, Habsiguda Hyderabad. The attitude of the showroom guys is not at all good. Even for buying a Solar Water heater, I requested them to send a person to inspect the site but again no responce.
I believe that the service for Gilma products is extremely bad and one should not go for such products.
I fully accept the complaints and they are facts since iam also one among them sailing on same boat.
Better not to purchanse Gilma product.

I My initial impression with GILMA Product was good because I could see nice outlet, high sounding commitment and I purchased one gas hob & Chimney in September 2011 . chimney is working OK . Since October 2011 we are complaining but no one is attending call. In January once only one technician came and told that it is beyond repair and since than we are following up almost every day on [protected]. Mr.Shivram who admires that there is problem in hob & it is in warranty period so request gilma to do the needful because now days it is becoming very risky to cook on gilma gas hob. if some accident tooks place at my kitchen due to gilma's hob then who is responsible for this ? Mr.rakesh A showroom owner in Airoli new bombay is HOPELESS. He says do whatever you can do, so one can trust Gilma
I hate this gilma product, I[censored] call their bloody number 24X[protected]extn 14) it will give number[protected], this phone no one will receive if try to call whole day, In Gilma warrnty card they neither mension any customer support number nor any supportive agency.Please do you have any person to rapair my glass top 5month old gas stove, please give their number.

boss i am an ex gilma franchisse owner the gilma peoples also exploits their dealers in giving any type of support, you cannot imagine the situation of end users.
Not knowing the service is pathetic and very bad response I purchased Gilma Vitro 60 from Hyd Exhibition it was the biggest curse that I bought this machine both the company and their dealers are shameless people as they don't attend to either e mails or the calls.

It took me 4 months to get the chimney fixed and the dealer sent delivery boy for installation who just hung the chimney on the wall and disappeared telling he will come the next day for doing the remaining work and charged me for the installation charges which like a fool believed him and paid the money. I have sent two mails called their service centres in hyd and Bangalore and also their help centers but believe me their response is a big zero.

If this company had some sort of courtesy they could have replied to my mails and calls, this is the initial stages as the machine is new god only helps as to what service we can expect from such stupid company. I WOULD REQUEST ALL THOSE WHO SEE THESE COMMENTS DONT DARE TO BUY THE PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL ONLY BE DISAPPOINTMENT DISTURBED AND BUILD UP YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE.

I lodged a complaint in the morning.
Till now no service engineer turned up till 5 pm
When I called the call centre I came to know that it is going to take 48 to 72 j
Hrs.
When I called the hyd manager, he said its is company., s policy.
Then while purchasing the item why they claim for prompt service.

I think I did a mistake by purchasing gilma product.

Steal stoves are thousand time better.
Don't ever try to buy Gilma product, support is very pathetic, lack of co-ordination between dealers, customer care and service center, each one will put blame on others and no one will take the ownership, my sincere advice is not to buy any Gilma product.
