Good morning sir my name is raghavendra kumar and belongimg to kanpur my mob.no. is [protected] my HCL Laptop model no. is P3018 and s.no. is 7084AX039963. I have purchased my laptop on 01-09-08and my laptop is in warrenty period and DVD ROM of my laptop is not working.i have searched a lot of hcl service centre but they all are saying that they are not responsible for this n they say that u may call HCL leaptop helpline no. that is[protected] and i have called to that no. and they was saying that the no. has been changed to the no.[protected].when i call to that no. the service provider says that please check the no. you have dialled.This event is happening since 45 days.what i can do for this. please help me as soon as possible to solve my problem.i'll be thankfull to you. bye Was this information helpful? | |

sir I purchased a hcl laptop 6 moths before and now some times i have reading problem with my dvd.
DVD writer in not working
dvd rom of my hcl laptop also a problematic device. after buying this i already changed it for three times. it was then under warrenty period. last time it was changed eight month ago. now it can't read dvd.in service centre they told me that dvd is to be replaced not repaired.now i have doubt about the product quality of hcl. and will never ever buy any hcl product.

properly. Some time DVD/CD drive able to read only DVD.

When I am using an USB port external keyboard with my laptop, keyboard switch(F5, Ctrl, Alt) is not working properly. What is the problem? Please give me any

Another problem with my HCL laptop is, when I install any Operating System without Windows XP, any operating system cannot support the Graphics Card(NVIDIA). I have installed related graphics card software also. But Graphics Card is not detected. Please give your solution

DVD ROM is not working and touch pad ,power button,and some problem of software.
so please provide me near address of service center with contact no. or best engineer which is solved my problem of laptop immediately.

To New laptop Buyers: Don't ever think about buying HCL laptop. The only reason I bought it was because it comes in DOS version with ** so that I have the liberty to choose my operating system as per my need. Where as if I buy HP or Dell I had to stick with Windows Vista/7 which is not supported for SAP installation. So I decided to buy HCL.
But after my 2 years, the experince with HCL laptop is horrible. Its screen has got some patches and its LCD is not good in quality. Battery back up was initially very good (upto 3 hours) but not day by day its decreasing and now just 30 min max. Also it is producing a lot of noise as if its shouting before death. Yes camera quality is good.
