This is to bring forth the utter dismay and the traumatic experience that i have had so far with HDFC bank home loan service.
My ordeal all started when i wished to transfer my existing home loan with DHFL onto HDFC.
The below mails are just a small window to the immense aggravation that I have gone through. Specifically while dealing with the sales person-Surinder Verma , his supervisor Gaurav Bajaj, Dwarka Branch manager -Bhanu and the list continues.
My loan sanctioning has been prolonged to as much as 2.5 months.
The list continues, my request to you is to kindly look into my case and provide a solution as its a matter of grave concern and monetary
Below are the 2 main points of disgust :
1. My loan was to be disbursed on 31st may when I had signed of the files at the Faridabad branch, however the cheque for the amount of 40,2000/- was kept at the branch for 5 days and was only picked up by the lawyer on 5th to be submitted at the DHFL branch today, upon doing so I have additionally incurred an interest of close to 39,000 which I have to pay off now o DHFL to clear my case from them.
a. I need the additional amount that I have paid to DHFL reimbursed by HDFC ASAP.
2. There has been an EMI deduction of approx 40,816 from HDFC effective today, now as per the information provided by Surinder Verma, My first EMI is not due until 5th of July. I had the option of getting my EMI deducted on the 5th July but I was never intimated about the same by any HDFC personnel
a. I need the amount debited by HDFC to be refunded to my account immediately
3. At the time of submitting the papers for my Home Loan application I was promised by Surinder Verma that I would be reimbursed 50% of my Processing Fee once the loan is disbursed.
a. I need the 50% refunded to my account of the charges charged to me as processing fee.

After 11 days of all this they told me everything will be cleared by Tuesday and I'll get the DD by Wednesday. It's Saturday now and my college has already opened and till today I have no idea if I'll get the DD next week or not. Because time was running out so I asked another person's contact number from the loan department. I was asked to contact Mr. Vishal Rajput (91-[protected]) who was the TL there, after calling him 4-6 times during the day he finally picked up. He informed that it's under process, I asked him why his team member was saying it's going to be cleared by Wednesday? he started shouting over the phone that he isn't the one who said I will get the DD by Wednesday and he is not liable what his team members say to me and then he started to scream and shout over the phone that I'm disturbing him and never to call on him again. He thinks he's not answerable to anyone and he has the right to mislead as well as shout at customers if they ask for the status of the loan process.
After everything said and done now I get to hear another tag line of 'it'll be cleared by tomorrow'. I have to answer my college that why I can't report to them on time because I myself don't know what's going or am I eligible for the loan or not or all the documents are correct or not. Because of their routinely answer of 'it'll be cleared by tomorrow' I have to ask college for some time. I've already rescheduled my reporting time with them 4 times already and now they ask me if I'm ever going to report since classes have already started. If I don't report next week I'll lose 35, 000 - which is the admission fee- and one year of my education.
Because of the slow processing and this misleading tag line of 'tomorrow it'll be cleared' I might lose my candidature with the college for not reporting on time and lose one year of my education. Thanks to the HDFC and their loan staff who never understands the urgency of the customer.
