[Resolved]  HFCL Connect Broadband — Wrong Services Charged in Bill

I am using Connect Phone No[protected] under DSL Combo UL 666 Plan.

My First complaint is that I've got charged several months for Infotainment Services which i have not activated and after many times it was got disconnected when i have a talk on Hotline No. from Connect Office in Nawanshahr, Punjab and its Complaint ID was 5357822.


Now regarding Second, I have recently activated the Service @99 paise/min to UK/Canada/USA under this existing plan. I was told by Connect Employees in Connect Office in Nawanshahr, Punjab that u r our Silver Member and you don't have to pay of this plan. I asked them to make sure of it and their response was positive but from Next Month I have got charged Rs. 500/- for the Activation for that Service in Bill No. 19445927 and when i asked them that for what thing they charged me they told me that it is for International Call Activation. They told me that i can lodged a complaint on their Hotline No. from their Office. I do that and got Complaint ID 5357822 on[protected] for that Complaint and was assured by Connect Customer Care Employee and Connect Office Officials that this matter will be resolved.

Today on 24 November, 2009 I got Next Bill (Bill No.[protected] in which Rs. 500/- are again mentioned as Internet Activation Charges and Rs. 55.15 was charged for Late Fees. When i asked about this to Connect Office then they told me that i have to pay those Rs. 500/-. If they so then why did they not mentioned about this when i am going to activate that service.
They also asked me that I have to pay Late fees.

Connect Service is much better than any service as i am using it from last two years. BUT...

I have two Queries.

Why did they activate automatically services without the knowledge of their customers.
Whether the City Connect Office or Their Main Office Officials have no knowledge about the new services and MIS-GUIDED their Customers.

If this is so then I may be thinking that I should move to another connection.

I received a call from your office to avial sentrax facily and have to guarantee apx Rs 4000/- and asked to add 4 more connections which we did however we start getting the bills seprately.

Today I received a call and subsequent email to avail centrax under two plans and the option was communicated.Kindly ensure we are not cheated this time.

As discussed with you pl find the details of voice & dsl plan mention below:

We are offering manual Billing call rates which are minute based plan. The monthly commitment is of rs 5000 per month & customer are getting around 35-40% more cheaper as compare to existing plans. There will be no installation/security on these lines. Also, the advance rental will be adjusted in very first month only.


Option 1: Manual billing
Call Rate
landline to mobile Rs 0.40/min
Landline 2 landline Rs 0.80/3 Min
STD (anywhere & any network) Rs 0.99/min.
Pls note that on minimum commitment of rs 5000/- customer can take upto 15 lines or less as per requirement.
All feature like group billing/CTX/ Pooling will be there as usual.
