[Resolved]  Homeshop 18 — Wrong product delivered twice and then harassed for refund

Cash Rs 1999/- was paid to HomeShop 18 on 28th January, 2010 for 58 pc Microwavable Dinner & Dessert Set against order no.[protected] but the item handed over to me by the delivery man was a 4 pc Bowl Set (instead of Dinner Set) which was written on the box itself . It was a light weight small box , I did not accept the product and returned it to the delivery man.

I complained and on 4th February I was again delivered a 6 pc bowl set (wrong product delivered again) This time I accepted it thinking it might contain a dinner set inside but to my surprise it was ordinary plastic bowls. When I complained again , the executives gave me the no. of their courier company in delhi to contact them to pick up the product from our house but the courier company said that they do not provide services in Jammu.

When I conveyed the same thing to Home shop 18 executives , they said they wont be able to collect product from our house and we would have to courier ourselves. I covered an hour distance to courier the product and when I wanted to cofirm the address from home shop 18 on 15th February, Ashish one of the Home Shop 18 executives, told me that 58 pc dinner set have been despatched on 13th February and he advised me to retain bowl set till further instructions and not to courier it , I brought the product back to home. I waited till 23rd February and when I called them again to confirm about my item , they said that they never despatched the item on 13th February and that I will have to send back bowl set first and then they will despatch my item.

I asked them as to why I was misguided on 15th february when i was about to courier and now again i will have to cover an hour distance from home to courier the product as there is no courier service nearby. On this they said that cant do anything. Now its more than one month that I have been harassed by them . I called them atleast 80 times but none of their executves stick to one word. Is it our fault that they delivered wrong product TWICE and why should we take so much botheration to courier them back. What is the guarantee that they will not deliver the wrong product again. I have been so much harassed .My son wanted an aeroplane from homeshop 18 but because of such an experience with homeshop 18 , I had decided not to order aeroplane from HOME SHOP 18. This was my first and last experience with this company

I feel really sorry for Ms. Shivali Singh for the harrassment she had undergone by dealing with the fraud company. Earlier, I was also convinced with the programme they show on tv on colors channel but going through the complaints I think that I am lucky not to have ordered any product from them. Its really a harassment to go out and courier the product especially when the customer had chosen to pay "Cash Before Delivery" option and thought of getting the product at the convenience of his/her doorstep. Why a customer should spend money or take pain to courier the wrong product delivered to her twice by the company.She is right when she says that even if she couriers it back what guarantee is it that they wont send the wrong and low quality product third time. Looking at the bulk of complaints regarding faulty/fake/ wrong products delivered to different customers its obvious that they cant be trusted third time. When the company can deliver the product, it also becomes their duty to collect the wrong products delivered by them. I tthink strict action should be taken against Home shop 18 for harassing the customers
Sangeeta, thanks for the concern . Atleast you realised how much trouble I have been facing by dealing with this company. The wrong product delivered to me is still with me and nobody from Homeshop 18 is ready to collect it .

I had paid Rs 2000 approx and in return received wrong product of cheap quality twice whose price does not seem to be more than Rs 500 . Now they are asking me to spend money and time to courier them back the wrong product delivered and then they will send the product which I had actually ordered . Is it my duty to courier them back and what if they send the wrong item third time.

I am surprised how HDFC and ICICI being reputed banks are linked with the CHEATERS
i had placed an order (product number 57580). after how many days i will recieve the product . please reply
