HP Compaq 6510b — LAPTOP IS NOT GETTING CHARGED,EVEN ADAPTER IS OK.

SUDDENLY AFTER BATTERY DISCHARGE LAPTOP IS NOT CHARGING AFTER CONNECTING TO ADAPTER.LAPTOP IS NOW DEAD.SUGGEST ME SOMETHING ON [protected] .I have checked it with Hp service center in salt lake sector 1, shop no 3, B D MARKET.they told that charging circuit gone bue to flactuation of voltage.they are saying that it will cost as equal to new laptop.pls tell me a charging ckt will cost as a new laptop.
