[Resolved]  HP India — Errors in warranty

Sir,
1. I own an HP DV9413CL series laptop Product Number:GA358UA, Serial Number:CNF7245SJB purchased on October 21, 2007. This laptop carries a 2 years base warranty bundled with the purchase- thus the said laptop should enjoy an international hardware warranty support till October 21, 2009. I have the original purchase invoice with me.

2. Unlike my expectations from an HP product, the laptop has had hardware failure 2 times since purchase. BUT true to my expectations from HP, my DV9413CL has been provided excellent service in terms of replacement of parts (motherboard both the times, to be specific) under the HP Warranty.

3. The International warranty for the said laptop as per the HP.com website (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/weResults?tmp_weCountry=in&tmp_weSerial=... expires on AUGUST 03, 2009; INSTEAD of October 21, 2009, against norms. On contacting HP helpline, it was stated that the warranty on website shows warranty from the date of manufacture, and shall be corrected. However, the warranty status on the said website is still holding the same error due to which my laptop suffers a risk of trouble in case it needs a warranty support.

4. The HP India Support Centre mentions that after August 03, 2009, they will NOT provide me any service support, based on the information available to them through the said website. This is an error on behalf of HP, which needs to be corrected. I have submitted the copy of the purchase invoice to HP as and when demanded by them. I repeatedly requested HP to get this error in the validity of warranty corrected as soon as possible, so that I get full benefit of this purchase. Starting from HP Call Centre support to HP email Support to HP International email support, I have been moving from pillar to post, with innumerable email/fax/telephonic contacts on which I have spent many invaluable hours and money. HP has been passing the ball from one person to another, one office to another, without giving me any relief. It appears that the HP is trying to pass time till Oct 21, 2009 before making me any commitment, so that the entire question of my requesting a warranty support becomes baseless after expiry of 2 years base warranty. Moving from one point to other, my request has been finally dumped with Mr Rajesh of HP INDIA - Warranty Management Tel +[protected], email rajesh.[protected]@hp.com, who has not been responding to my email requests for rectifying the problem.

5. HP India has failed to give a satisfactory solution to the problem, and have failed to support my Warranty error correction requests; although I did not expect such a response from a reputed GLOBAL company like HP.

6. I request you to kindly look into the matter and help me out so that my faith in HP sustains longer and my laptop keeps on getting warranty support without being orphaned. To summarize,
a. HP should get rectified the base warranty discrepancy on their website.
b. HP should get me a satisfactory extended Warranty Support.

i have purchased Hp laptop bombay on oct.2008.after 7 -8 month laptop are not properly working the problem as -1) screen has not display means screen light are swith off.then i'm go to the customer care and discuss the same problem they have say me chacked the laptop and call u.after 10 -20 days they have call me and say your problem has solved.then after 2-3 month the same problem has reapeated.then i have come to the hp care center say to the same problem are occuer.but laptop warrenty has expired and the problem has properly not solved.then what can i do?

for that u asked for invoice copy which i am sending as attachment .

pls find the attachment and give us resulation as soon as possibel

for that we will be greatfull to you


hp has provided 3 years waranty from the period of sold which is also mentioned in the attached invoice but now they are denying warranty on lcd monitor

THEN I GO TO LOCAL SERVICE CENTER AND SUBMIT MY PRINTER THEY DEMAND DOCUMENTS OF CARE PACK I GIVEN HIM ALL MY CARE PACK
DOCUMENTS THEY SEEN MY DOCUMENTS AND TELL ME THAT DOCUMENTS ARE VALID AND AS PER DOCUMENTS MY PRINTER IS IN WARRANTY
AND ALL THE DOCUMENTS MAIL TO REGIONAL OFFICE AND AGIAN TOLD ME THAT WITHIN 2/3 DAYS THEY GIVE ME SOLUATION
