[Resolved] HP India — Overcharging for repair and misleading customer | |
This is regarding my hp laptop : Pavilion dv4 1131 tx. The wifi of my laptop stopped working all of a sudden. I went to authorised hp service centre. They kept my laptop with them for 1 day for fault diagnosis. Next day they called me and told me that my laptop''s mother board is faulty and it needs to be replaced. They gave me an approximate of around 23500 for the repair. I told them to try replacing wifi card but they said they have tried that and detected problem in mother board. I came back with my laptop after paying their diagnostic fee and thought of buying a new laptop because there is no point of spending so much. So few days latter I went to Nehru Place to buy a new laptop and accidentally showed my laptop to a third party .They just replaced my internet card for 1000 and that solved the problem and now my laptop is working fine. This caused a lot of mental harassment , mental torture and eventually lead to wastage of my time, being an engineer loss of productivity and many other endless problems. This also means that if a persons laptop is out of warranty, hp misguides customer to this extent.This is really shameful on behalf of Hp. Had I not taken the laptop to a third party I would have ended spending 25000 or probably 50000 for a new laptop. Was this information helpful? | |

they changed & installed wrong motherboard in my laptop
now performance has greatly fallen...
