A brand new hp mini laptop was purchased in October 2008.
This stopped working in January 2009, ( the screen went blank). The laptop was under warranty and therefore submitted to the authorised hp service center in Okhla on my behalf by Ace cpmputers as per details below:

Repeated calls have been made to the customer care numbers in the entire month of Feb and the explanation given by them in this entire period for the delay are as follows:
1. Part is not available
2. Part is comming from Mumbai
3. Motherboard of the laptop has been sent for from Singapore and is yet to arrive, if you are in a hurry you can take your laptop back.
* How can I take it back as it is not in working condition?
* A brand new laptop stops working in 3 months should be replaced by the company as it seems to be a defective piece.
No one in Hp seems interested in doing anything about it.
The last explanation given this morning by Mr.Girish was part is not available in India. I spoke to him again this afternoon, he said my complaint has been forwarded to the concerned department and he will know only by the evening.
There has been no attempt to provide a solution by any member of the hp customer services department.
I have requested a number of times to speak to the Manager of the service center Mr.Kapil Chawla, but he has been unavailable to speak to me.
I hope something can be done about large companies who get away with doing nothing !!!
