[Resolved]  HP, Pavilion DV 6114 TX — 1 month, 10 days lap top not repaired....I want to get my LapTop Replaced

Below is the Email which I have emailed to HP.. but have not got any response there even...

Dear HP,

I am Nikhil Jain, I am having an HP Pavillion DV-6114-TX LapTop and now I have just got fed up with all what is happening with my lap top.

First of all let me tell you that I had bought it on 31st of November, 2006 . The first problem in my laptop had already occurred just 2 months later of the purchase of my laptop.. then I just took it to the service center and they corrected the problem for me... After that also some one to 1.5 months later some other problem came to the lap top.. in which they had to run the recovery partition of the laptop.. so much difficulties had come in it.. and after that also in every course of 1 or 2 months i was expecting some or other problem in my laptop..

And this time, I just got fed up with what has happened to my lap top.. its lying in the service center since 29th of August, 2007 and since then I have not had my laptop with me... its with service center only.... I dont understand what they are doing with my laptop..

The date today is 8th October, 2007 and it has been around 1 month, 10 days.. that the problems of my lap top have not yet rectified....

I have given the lap top to a service center named : MM9 Technologies which is situated in Gurgaon (Haryana, 122001)

and at first they were not even telling me my case id to me.. after so many request and quarrels, I got my case id which is : [protected].


Please HP tell me what should I do... does it take so long to repair a lap top... .. Everyday MM9 tells me a new problem in my lap top.. someday they say.. that they are changing its motherboard, someday its power cord, someday its quick launch keys strip, someday they say that they need to format it.. and now they are saying that their is a problem in the touch pad of the lap top.....

If so many problems are coming in my laptop why dont you just replace my laptop and give me a new piece..????

And what is the guarantee that even if my lap top gets well this time... it wont face any problems in future... I am seeing so many problems in a lap top the first time...even my cousins have a lap top of HP.. and they are working just fine.. .and mine was experiencing problems since 2 months of my purchase only.. I am just fed up now...

I have not seen my lap since 1 month, 10 days..and my business has just gone into hell now....and I doubt that I will be coming to footpath in a week or so..if this thing continues.

As per my experience, what I think is.. all the mistake is of MM9 Technologies.. they are very careless at work...they are not doing anything with my laptop.. I have now talked to each and every person at MM9..and every one has the same behavior at work..such service centers should not exist...

Also, let me tell you that.. once they had handed over the lap top to me... in between this repair process.. and let me tell you about that experience of mine:

When I had given the lap top to the service center it was experience just 10 problems (I WOULD EVEN SAY 10 PROBLEMS AS JUST )..and when I got my lap top it was having 30 you can imagine how careless are MM9 at work... when I when for receiving my lap top there.. what I saw was.. my keyboard was already replaced with some other persons lap top.. whose 4-5 keys were not even working.. but as I knew my keyboard..i just told they.. and they very easily said that by mistake it must have happened... are they so careless at work/??

when I got my lap top.. it was experiencing a heating problem.. it got heated up..just after working 20-25 minutes on it.. and also got very slow while working.. and when I kept it in front of A/C.. it got okay.. so like this it used to happen...then I called up MM9 to say.. that you had already changed my keyboard with somebody.. and I suspect that my fan also you have removed from the lap top..and they said that if the fan was not there.. the lap top wont even work..............and afterwards.. this only problem came ..that the fan of the laptop was not working...

NOw you only tell me what to do.. I suspect that even the guarantee period of my lap top will finish.. and then also I wont get my lap top back with me.... 1 MONTH, 10 DAYS IS SO LONG.. I THOUGH I WILL GET MY LAP TOP IN 3-4 DAYS MAX.. .BUT NOW I AM JUST FED UP... I REQUEST YOU TO PROVIDE ME WITH A BRAND NEW LAP TOP.. AS THIS LAP TOP IS ALREADY EXPERIENCING SO MANY PROBLEMS (AS MM9 SAYS.. I DON'T KNOW EVEN IF THEY ARE WORKING ON MY LAP TOP OR NOT)....WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE THAT IT WON'T EXPERIENCE ANY DIFFICULTIES IN FUTURE.. I WANT A PERMANENT SOLUTION..i have already suffered huge business loss..and I don't want to suffer from any in future.

Please reply to my email as soon as possible.. i am experiencing lot of problems.. I have suffered a loss of 10 lacks in my business till now..... now you just tell me if you would be providing me a new lap top.. otherwise I will have to purchase a new lap top then of some other company .. I will think that my 60,000 Rs. which I invested in this lap top just got waste..and nothing else...

Also I am very soon going to register a case against MM9 Technologies.. and HP in the Consumer Court of Gurgaon....that they are not repairing my lap and doing nothing for me..everyday...they give me a new date that my lap top will get fine....but nothing happens.

I deeply empathise with you, Sir.

I have had an equally bad experience with the product.I had bought 2601TX.
(priced Rs.49,990) in Vashi. New Bombay.

I was a bit lucky that i detected the problem early(the very same day). My problems were similar to yours

I got a letter from the serivice centre to take a replacement after much harassment. (which is another big story) But even after so many days neither the dealer nor the company HP is helping with the replacement. Its only in paper. I havent got the physical posession of it as yet. The dealer and every1 else are telling me to wait of another 15days or even more.

The dealer is also cautioning me not to be aggressive in making complaints since that will spoil relations and I wont get replacement for the nxt 6 months by which time the model will be obsolete.

i have had the same sort of problem i had brought a dv2500 laptop back in feb this year the graphics card was faulty id had got 8 little small screen shots on the one big screen an the motherboard was over heating too... they had told me what the problem was when I had called tech support: basically I needed a new motherboard!! so they asked me for proof of purchase when I had e-mailed it over to them I had called them back as you do just to make sure they had received the e-mail they told me I have to wait for a call from HP.. " so they never called me back" !! Waited 2 days!! Expressed to them my younger brother need to used Laptop for school. Needed for it to be fixed a.s.a.p... they just kept fobbing me off saying that they have not received my proof of purchase so I had sent it a 2nd hotmail account shows that it was sent an I had checked with them that they have given me the correct e-mail address.. so they still tell me they have not received it.. i had played $1400 for the laptop when it was just released then they talked me into having 2 years extended warranty... $169... I’m covered up until 2011!!! HP is a waste of time. They have caused me nothing but inconvenience... so far no laptop fixed I have made about 15 phone calls to them... i am going to get in touch with trading standards U.K .. + FSA... they said to me that I will get a call tomorrow from the complaints department… I asked the tech support to put me on to his Manger “We don’t have an manger” POOR SERVICE FOR WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!will let you guys know what the outcome will be.

HP pavilion dv 6114tx — terrible service

I've given my laptop HP Pavilion dv6114tx for service at HP service centre delhi, okhla industrial estate 31st of Oct '08 vide reference no [protected]. It's been over a month now n I am yet to receive it. Each time I call they say it will take a couple of days more. I have been callin every few days for the past two weeks n yet i get the same response. This is not the kind of service expected from a company of HP's repute. This is neglect on the part of the service cemtre and i feel they ought to pay for this. I am looking to claim some kind of possible compensation.
Please suggest what needs to be done as they have caused me much distress and i am not at all satisfied.

I would never suggest anyone to buy and HP laptop, in anay case, it is worst laptop i have ever seen, I have Pavilion DV2700tv and have proble in its Graphics card, by going through many site i found that HP is know to this proble sincs 2007 but HP is still selling the Laptop with NVIDIA chip. Your laptop will work fine for waraanty period (apprx 1 yrs) after that a day you will see that when u boot your laptop it dont have any display. not even BIOS information. or durign working you will see that your secree is divided into many smaller screen and the it goes blank, All this is due to faulty NVIDIA chip which HP is using. evene NVIDIA is also know to this problem, but they dont have solution they sell laptop and forget about coustomer.

After thsi either you have to change the motherboard or you have change the NVIDIA chip in you loacl market, but no gaurantee that you laptop will work for longer time.

So think befor buy HP.
