[Resolved]  HP Pavilion DV4 1216TU — Screen Flickering at the bottom

hp dv4 tu 1216 has screen problem definitely. i bought two months back and now it is flickering. hp is no longer good i can say. they are not up to my epectation. what should i do now? anyone suggest me please. should i throw this laptop into my dustbin?

THERE ARE LINING COMMIND ON MY LAPTOP SCREEN AND I SHOWED IT TO HP CENTER PUNE (KOTHROUD CENTER PAUD PHATA WHOSE CONTACT NO ARE:[protected]
IT ALMOST PAST 14 AYS TILL NOW AND THERE RESPONSE IS STILL SAME AS PREVIOUS ONE THAT WE ORDERED FOR THE PART BUT IT STILL IN PROGRESS IT WILL TAKE ABOUT 4-5 DAYS MORE FROM NOW.
I THOUGHT THET ARE JUST IGNORING MY CASE AND MAKEING DESPERATE DELAY.
SO KINDLY LOOK UPON THE CASE ASAP.

hi guys.. you are right. I am also facing the same problem "screen flicking @bottom issue". i have requested for new screen. But they dont have stocks right now. so, asap stock comes, they will call me and replace it. you also check with HP services soon. It is really known issue.

yep..same prob here..screen flickers wen i switch it on then settles down aft sum tym but not completly.still flickers a bit.theres a green and red lines at top and bottom of the screen..guys did u get it solved?how?reply me asap...pls..

yeah i suffered with a same problem after spending 50000 what we got is the laptop with a flickering screen i never expect this from hewlet packard

Guys, I've had the same problem. I bought the laptop in June 2009 and just in a week or so I got a vertical line sitting on my screen. I was so lazy and delayed to take the laptop to the service center till one week before my warrant lasts. i.e., in the first week of June 2010, they've replaced the lcd screen. But now after 1 month my laptop screen(supposed to be new) is flickering with green line at the top and red at the bottom, now I'm out of warranty, what to do? :(

Can someone from HP support help me here. I've got HP Pavilion
dv4z-1000 and I'm seeing screen flicker from last 2 months. First the
flicker was limited to the bottom of the screen but now it has started
happening over the whole screen. I just found on Internet that many
folks have got the same issue over this notebook model (shipped
between dec 2008-mar 2009). The messages posted by some users can be
found in HP consumer support forum as well and in you-tube.

I understand that HP may state that the notebook is out of warranty
but I think either a product recall be done for this product or
warranty extended.
I'm in India at present and bought this notebook in US. I'm a HP fan
and had bought 3 notebooks (2 are working fine, this one is having the
issue).

Please advise about the next steps but as far as I've understood from
forum threads, lot of people have been affected by this and lot of
them are recommending to stay away from HP products.
