Dheeraj dey ITC limited Foods division pulikeshinagar PO bangalore-05 phone:[protected] model no:hp pavilion dv 6-1110AX sr no:9S)CNF9171HG6 product:(1P)VB624PA I have purchsed same laptop two months back on 15 june, the perfomance in not consistent it is degrading day by day. problems have been faced in hardware as well as in the software too Following problems are being faced: 1. High electric shock from the laptop body. 2.The battery backup has degraded drastically. earlier 2-2.5 hrs, now only 1-1.5 hrs. 3.The tough padds keys are malfuctioning at times. 4.The preloaded windows program need lot of time to process a simple application 5.The processor speed is too slow even with a 4 GB ram. Hp laptops are preferred to other brands because of there good performance, greater durabilityand quality but these thing are not expected from hp.it will be very difficult to sustain if these problems persisit. In November 2011, I too purchased an HP Pavilion dv6-6121tx Entertainment Notebook PC with i7 processor and 4 GB RAM. I have Windows 7 and MS-Office Home and Business 2010. The performance is horrible, to put it mildly. Macros in Excel that use to run in seconds in my older Dell XPS with Centrino, Vista and Office 2003, now take several minutes without any reliability (macros unexpectedly crash or the system hangs). While the macros are running, the performance of other applications is also affected, although the CPU utilisation is seldom above 30% and the memory utilisation is seldom above 2 GB. All in all, a bad buy. Users may think a hundred times before investing their precious money into buying this laptop. Call up HP, and the guys have no clue on how to resolve this issue.
